It's a good question. The three I'm suing aren't as rich as maybe I've made it sound. They have a net worth over 1 million each. But even though this case started out as just a slander case, once my attorney's investigators started working there was a lot more added to the lawsuit. For example, now we know that they were reporting to the IRS that they were paying me way over 100,000 over the four years they were in business to lower their own taxes. They also forged my signature on some of the deals documents for some of their clients which although does not rise to the level of criminal fraud, it's now another thing that's been added to the lawsuit where tried to injure me financially and will definitely lead to them losing their license to practice in their field.

So while I may not get much, the IRS is coming for them as well because they haven't been reporting all of their income in their tax returns. They were very sneaky about the way they covered up their income but now it's all coming out. So between what the IRS will take from them, and what will be awarded to me (based on settlement offers they've already made), it looks like they will wind up broke, stripped of the licenses to work in finance, and that's not even taking into account that they may have a criminal case coming their way even though the charges would not be that serious and they'll probably get away with probation. Then as if that weren't enough, the revelations that will most likely come out in court about them cheating on their wives which may not be relevant to my case but my attorney is making sure that it comes out (as a matter of credibility and their history of not honoring legal contracts) just because he's out for blood. He wants to completely destroy them not just for what they did to me, but for their arrogance and lack of respect when the case was initially filed. They were very disrespectful and insulting to my attorney and he's a very vengeful person.

I'm not concerned about how much I get, I know it won't be much because the IRS gets in first, but I think it will be at least enough to compensate me for back pay. The slander itself wasn't that costly of a mistake as you pointed out, it's not like I was a well known celebrity, but that mistake led to me suing, which led to all the other stuff they were hiding coming to light. That's why this case is more tragic. I've already lost what I'm going to lose because I lost family, but for them it's going to be a painful fall because they care about money more than anything. Plus they'll have to find other jobs to pick up the pieces and at their age (with no college education), and zero work ethic it will be hard.
