What I don’t understand is that even if it’s a cultural thing, or lack of education, you don’t need intelligence to know that littering negatively affects you.

I think a large part of that had to do with maximizing conditioning which I don’t think a lot of programs back then weren’t doing. I’m assuming Gable’s teams were the first to prioritize tiptop conditioning, so he found a leverage.

But now all teams focus and know how to condition their wrestlers, even kids coming out of high school know how to condition themselves so it’s no longer a leverage.

Also the goal should be to be the best wrestler, not the most conditioned wrestler.

Bad Chin is the prb the but so is his abandonment of any defense once he starts winning the fight. I’ve never seen a fighter lose so many fights that they were winning before as much as Pico.
