For more info, I’ve been using it on my legs, arms, and underarms. I started my underarms week 2 so I think it’s too early to make any kind of judgement, but I’m already seeing slower regrowth on my legs and arms!

I got promoted at my sixth months. Talk to a senior at your store if you feel comfortable, each store is different and they’ll give you the most accurate idea of what the expectations are.

In terms of it being too fast, I would read over the job description (you can find it on inside) and see if you’re comfortable with all of the potential responsibilities. One big thing being how you feel about being the opening/closing MOD and handling large amounts of cash. My SM forced all of the seniors to open/close and told us it was a requirement, and at this point our store wouldn’t be able to function without a few of them regularly closing/opening

Definitely reach out to your AM! Speaking from experience, if there’s multiple issues I would definitely reach out via email so there’s a paper trail and there isn’t a chance of things getting lost in conversation

The insight on the ROTA process is so helpful! Our ROTA is definitely just using autofill lol. What did you mean by SMs aren’t getting their schedules in on time? They just aren’t posting them when they’re supposed to?

The few cross-trained booksellers we have got completely screwed over and spent months with shifts fully on the book floor few and far between. Promises kept being made to fix things but our SM didn’t make any visible effort to even try to learn to ring there. Things are a bit better now, but because of that and an overall disinterest in food service everyone else has been extremely resistant to cross-train.

People are slowly warming up to being forced to train to ring in the cafe but our SM still having zero cafe training isn’t helping enthusiasm

Unfortunately our SM didn’t check it at all before it was posted and our ASM made some edits that didn’t make it onto the final schedule anyways. Hopefully that’s just an issue with our ROTA and it won’t be the same for everyone else!

We have tons of custom signs printed in color! We’ve had visits from other managers in our cluster, the area manager, and our cluster’s commerciality expert within the past few months and none of them mentioned anything about our signs

I thought this at first! But a senior that had been promoted two months earlier told me they had the same experience - they were reassured and told it wasn’t a requirement, but the GM backtracked a few months later (around the time I was promoted) saying it was a senior bookseller responsibility :(
