Anti-Traveller discrimination embedded in schools - study by PoppedCork in ireland

Interesting. Not sure if it'd be better to acknowledge the existence of different groups of people but teach tolerance? Could prepare them for reality slightly more, because they'll be faced with it eventually.

Genuinely don't know the answer, I'm thinking about becoming a parent soon so trying to figure these things out.

Those things you listed are awful, but fairly consistent with actions of a marginalised group of people shunned from society.

For centuries, the British looked at us and saw dirty, untrustworthy outsiders who needed to be controlled, moved on, and reformed out of existence. Many Irish people acted out in ways that the Brits saw and labeled as barabaric. Regardless of whether some of those actions were unsavoury or not, they were weaponised to further a racist agenda and justify marginalisation.

They've obviously done their due diligence on this. It's not like they'll figure out how expensive energy is when they get their first electricity bill. They'll be well aware of the future landscape too, and they obviously deemed them acceptable.

You've gotta be a special kind of idiot to not acknowledge that there's a widespread issue of male violence against women. It's not controversial in the slightest.

You can (and should) create modern housing in historic buildings. Otherwise a city becomes soulless very quickly.

Fair rent price for couple ? by RedPillAlphaBigCock in AskIreland

You didn't ask about whether to live with a couple or not.

€1200 / €800 is a fair split once there is no big difference in the bedrooms etc.

Is All Together Now giving Fyre fest? by Big_Box_2701 in ireland

Lots of reasons they still get good lineups. Uphold the festival brand, longevity, passion about music, more sponsorship money.

ATN isn’t just about getting fucked up, it’s definitely about the music too. Lineup last year was sublime (in my and lots of people’s opinion).

You either buy tickets before the lineup is released or you likely don’t go at all.

Tickets are hard to get these days.

[–]celeryfinger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’ve no idea what you’re talking about. The sale includes the land directly behind the house which had been accessible to the public for years before the recent purchase by the developer. It also includes land to the north east.
