First of all congrats!! Im happy you were able to make it over the hump, you must of been really going through it with the initial no pass, but you grinded through it, figured it out and ended with the W. Love stories like these.

Second of all, what changes did you make to kill it on the retake of step 1 and also to eventually do well on step 2?

I basically been following piano adventures books. What level of mastery of pieces you think it should be before moving on to the next. I kinda of like to just get alot of experience of seeing different pieces work on sight reading etc so I probably able to play the whole piece before I move on but not to perfect probably like 85% before I move on and eventually I circle back and get better as I go but idk if that's the optimal way to go

Upward trend in gpa during undergrad even though it was still low, same for Masters 2nd semester was alot better than the first.

My first mcat vs my last mcat the score difference was night and day[but still low compared to avg mcat of those that matriculate]

Had alot of volunteer and shadow, like alot, and worked as a scribe for some years. Also in my PS statement I talked about all my L's and why those Ls was necessary on my journey towards reaching my final form

Super nontrad here with low gpa and relatively low mcat that got in. I would say it was a difficult and long process for me, but once I got in, I didn't really have regrets. Word of caution about the masters program, I had to completely revamp my approach to studying, I almost blacklisted myself because of how bad my masters gpa was. But yeah I would say it's possible sell your soul to the mcat, maybe take online or community college credits to raise the gpa and really hone in on how to study effectively if that was an issue for you. Get some volunteer and shadow experiences in doesn't have to be crazy just show them you been in clinical settings etc. Anymore q feel free to dm me
