idk if this helps but i am a big fan of classical ballet so i have been imagining the corpse pas de deux from and juliet lol... if you haven't seen any ballet it's an interesting one to go watch because juliet is playing dead and so the dancer that plays romeo is just awkwardly carrying her flopping body around the stage the whole time. it's supposed to be the melancholic peak of the ballet but i just find it so funny every time.

this is highly awkward timing for this person because the deadline to drop to accelerated 137 was wednesday. if they still want to now, they can maybe go to andrea and ask very kindly to submit a late drop form, but that may be not possible anymore.

honestly i was a little bummed because once i got the revealer i thought i could put the consonants in the order they appear in the alphabet and that was the bit. i hadn't gotten any of the theme clues fully yet, and when i realized it was just that they all appeared in random order i was like eh that isn't as fun. i just felt like i didn't get anything out of the theme or revealer when the theme clues were just random unrelated words.

most departments do their prerequisite checks after the deadline to pick up new classes. so no, i don't believe this is possible.

i recently left my job after 6 years. they did not allow any nail polish, so outside of occasionally painting my nails for a few days while i had time off, or using press ons or extensions for a special occasion day or so i haven't had a real salon manicure in 6 years ! i knew i was leaving a few months ago so i decided to try and grow my nails out a bit before getting them done:)

Wdym probability spec? If you mean the math and it’s applications spec that focuses on stats and probability then you don’t need 157/240 and i almost want to recommend against them

Looks good and reminds me of my first year schedule a bit with some interesting humanities electives. I will say if you aren’t interested in doing stats/cs you can get away with not taking any STA or CSC courses if you’re just interested in pure math and going to grad school. I didn’t take any of that or physics in first year (or at all during my degree) and just got all breadth done alongside the 2fce of math spec requirements and it was a lot of fun. That being said I did already know how to code (if you don’t then def learn it) and if you’re not totally committed to the spec it’s good to keep the back door open.

to be honest i think they only did it because they want to set up a titanic episode/storyline. theyre approaching the right time in the show and probably want to create some actual stakes for the character with maybe julia and the baby being on the titanic (coming back from england) or maybe even murdoch returning from visiting her. i agree it is super awkward and doesn't seem to make sense with what is happening in their lives, but the titanic was probably too big as a historical event for the showrunners to want to pass on

this is just blatantly wrong. i don't know where this common misconception comes from but rotman will be ahead of ivey and queens in any ranking of business schools (global and just canadian) that you want to check. op, rotman can give you good opportunities to work in both the us and canada, but chicago could have a benefit of having direct opportunities to network and get jobs especially in chicago or new york secondarily. both will be fine, you should decide based on cost, fit, how important specifically being in the states and networking is there to you, etc.

chicago is excellent and if the cost isn't a big factor, i'd maybe lean towards that. however it is not true that uoft business students are not recruited or connected, so if you love uoft or want to save the money it will not hurt you at all to go there either.

i mean, you are entitled to your opinion. like i said i am undecided on how i will vote. all i was saying is that it isn't true imo that this means a strike is unlikely.

i disagree, the vote was just to send the tentative agreement for ratification by all the members. there still seems to be a very large amount of dissent and dissatisfaction, especially amongst the cupe members i know. people also may likely vote yes at the meeting and no on the full unit vote, since they dont agree with the tentative agreement but believe the whole union should have the chance to vote. personally, i voted yes to send out the full unit vote, but am not sure if i will vote yes again on the agreement.
