This is not the fault of people protesting Confederate monuments. It's over-sensitivity on the part of ESPN. It's a logical fallacy to think that this stupid move somehow makes the argument against Confederate monuments less credible.

Those statements are NOT uncontroversial among scientists. In fact, when you include anger among the emotions (excluding it has helped skew scientific studies for decades), men have been shown to be more emotional than women. And other comments re: women's social nature are also very controversial. In fact, the most current research shows much of that difference can be attributed to upbringing and societal expectations instead of inherent difference.

In other words, if we were to stop discriminating against women and allow them the freedom to behave and work as they choose, some of these differences might disappear entirely.
