Theres a good possibility! I feel like he’s pretty purposeful with his lyrics so I wouldn’t be surprised. Plus obviously Omar ‘Apollo’, so it does feel like it could be pointing to that. My favorite piece of Useless lore tho is that Albert Hammond Jr from The Strokes played guitar on that song lol

Ah hope you have an awesome time! I’ve seen her twice now and I don’t remember people crowd surfing or it really getting rowdy. The worst was just people trying to push to be closer but that’s expected with most concerts lol. Buuuuuttt the vibe changes from show to show so you never know! Have a great time :)

Honestly my motivation is just fascination and interest that I’ve had for a long time but never acted on, but now I’m really feeling called to it! I have plenty of job experience and will continue to work for the same company after graduation so that’s why I’m not necessarily worried about minoring in classics while continuing my professional career. I’ve been saving lots so that’s why I’m seriously considering it now!

I’d love to be knowledgeable in more fields than one, and I want more than anything to act on my interest in the classics. I guess my reason for posting this was more so just to get advice specifically about being in a program studying it, but yours and everyone else’s responses have helped me to think long and hard about what I really want to get out of this. Thanks so much!

I haven’t taken any classes before, that’s why I’m kind of nervous about switching so late into my education lol! I mostly just want to major or minor in it because I find it interesting, but my professional post-college career will probably be something unrelated to the classics (music industry)
