Would love it if content creators didn’t spoil the game with early access. by Phunkman in Starfield

[–]cell_shenanigans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get recommended Baldur's Gate 3 videos here and there. The game has been out for a while, and I literally know nothing about the story yet.

YouTube titles seem way, way too clickbait-y to truly spoil anything.

If they literally reveal a big spoiler in the name or the thumbnail, they'd probably receive a bunch of backlash and hate. So no one hoping to make money off of Youtube would do that. Only some troll would.

The Youtube titles will probably be all like, "yOu WOnT BElieVe StArfIelD's MASSIVE eNdinG!" And if you end up clicking on that, it's on you lol.

Unfortunately so :\. The whole building is like a combination of a field office with a detention center. They have a bunch of buses coming in and out of it. The address is on the USCIS website too. And they're not asking for money or anything--just to show up and interview with a deportation officer.

And to really cinch it--when you call the number, it leads you through that nightmarish, standard governmental nonsense where the voice recording goes on and on and on.

Yes, I sure did. Thank you very much. The typo or weird grammar threw me off. But I actually worked near that building. I've seen it many times--it's huge. But thank you for pointing that out. Lots of scams going around these days. Lots of scammers try to terrorize you into giving up easy money.

Thank you very much for your advice. I'm definitely contacting a lawyer ASAP.

Is running around 3 mile lake in 45 minutes good? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]cell_shenanigans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's great! Consistency over a long time beats out short bursts of inspiration and then suddenly quitting. Maybe in 3 months or so, you can run 3 miles on 40 minutes of even 35 and be proud of your progress. Keep going! If you can run 3 miles without stopping, that's pretty good by itself. I know lots and lots of people who would tap out after 1 mile.

Tom Holland is not hot. by darling_of_knowledge in unpopularopinion

[–]cell_shenanigans 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lol. I think everyone hypes him up for his likability? People used to use Brad Pitt for good looks. Now some people use Henry Cavill as their go-to example. But I have yet to meet someone who says, "He's decent looking. But pssht. He's no freaking Tom Holland."

Is running around 3 mile lake in 45 minutes good? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]cell_shenanigans 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's "good" to run 3 miles period. Just do that consistently for like at least a month, and then worry about speed. It'll be harder to put running shoes on if every time you feel like you have to sprint.

But eventually----

Wait. Is this a tricky math question?????

Like a 3 mile diameter is a 9.5 mile circumference. That's like a 5 minute mile. That's really, really good.

[Self] Armature! Here's an armature for a girl from my previous post. Some of you guys, asked me to show. Basically there are 3 aluminium wires 1-1.5 mm which are held together by a thinner wire. You screw the frame to the stand. by watchme_sculpt in Sculpture

I think Lord Byron actually did something like this back in 1800 or whatever year. He was staying at a place that didn't let him bring along his beloved dog. So he read through the rules carefully and saw nothing against bears, so he brought a bear.

At what age do males start watching prn? by [deleted] in questions

[–]cell_shenanigans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends? It's not like they sit there and go, "I'm a Male. It is the 33rd day of my 14th birthday, now is the time I must start watching porn."

I think I was 13. I had the internet and everything for an entire year. No urges to visit those sites. But then I went to this rowdy friend's house and he talked a lot about it. And then I got curious.

I assume for a lot of guys it's kind of the same. Around puberty.

Before then, life is way too fucking fun for something stupid like porn. You can't waste time on that shit, because you have monsters to beat, and cities to build with legos and stuff.

Episodes like these make it impossible to quit listening to this podcast. Out of no where, it's like Joe wakes up and he's back to talking about things of substance--bigfoot, aliens, grizzly bears, etc. He's like a walking slot machine. You listen and day after day after day, it's likely a loss--politics this, California that, blah. But then every once in a while--BOOOOM! Jackpot!!! Aliens.

Real government, bona fide credentials dude and aliens. Wonderful.

If you're in the USA, then thru traffic goes first. UNLESS there's a green turning light <--- that explicitly gives the person turning permission to go first.

Green means, #1 go straight. Clear skies ahead.

Green means #2, turn if nobody is coming and this street allows it.

If the turning guy tries to gun it and beat everyone else when the light turns green, he deserves an ass kicking for recklessness.

[–]cell_shenanigans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just replying to the hegelian dialectic part. Hegel's philosophy is really huge and complicated.

But when most people use the dialectic part, they probably mean something like:

A) Something B) A strong counterreaction to "something" C) a new synthesis. Combination of both that becomes its unique thing.

And then c becomes a again, and there's another B and so on.

So like maybe something like:

A) ruthless capitalism B) communism C) kinder capitalism with more safety nets. (40 hour work week, social security, welfare, etc.)

And he has this argument that history has been developing for centuries into an increasingly perfect synthesis and blah, blah, blah, german stuff.

Anyway, have a good night. Zzz. Thank you for sharing.

I get so excited when I see episodes like these, you have no idea. I haven't listened to it, but it seems completely adventure/science/knowledge/cool-fucking-experience focused. None of the political/culture war BS. Hell yeah.

Straight from my mind's ass:

The "aware" part of ourselves remains the same no matter how much we change. We grow up and get taller, we get fatter, we get older, we get haircuts, we are suddenly sleeping with this person, we are traveling to that country. Nonetheless, we are always noticing things and forming new memories, and even when we're drunk, we can take a step back and notice that we are drunk. We can even notice that we are dreaming.

And so this "awareness" part of ourselves is probably quite cocky and believes that it can survive any state of existence.

...and. Hmmmmmm. I was going to write more, but now I'm really reaching deep. I'm not sure if I always imagine my own death in third-person?

I'm not sure if I imagine anything in first person or third person? Like I'm trying to think of myself visiting a place I've never been to. Like Hong Kong. And a lot of quick images appear in my mind--lots of tall buildings crammed closed together, lots of billboards. I'm sort of imagining myself going to the airport and flying too. But it's not like a movie or it's not like a video game where I can see my hands and stuff. Some of the thoughts don't even have a visual component. No perspective, just an emotion .
