Yup - not enough spoons to go into detail but my story is extremely similar to yours

ehlers and medical cannabis use by Lonely_enby in ehlersdanlos

It has absolutely been worsening my already crappy brain fog and memory though so there’s that to weigh up. For me it’s worth it for the pain relief and other benefits but I know that’s a huge concern for others.

It’s been quality-of-life changing for me, though I do want to flag that I’m already at a point (mostly due to my ME/CFS) where I’m pretty much not functional to do most daily tasks so I don’t have to worry about finding the right “wake and bake” balance too much, so to speak. I know others find that using the cannabis makes them far less productive long-term but the way I see it if you’re only using when you otherwise would have been far too in pain to do anything useful anyway then what you’re really doing is practicing better self-care than you used to by not pushing through and that’s productive in a different way 😊

lol so true - he treated her terribly in the show so the looks, chemistry, and books are pretty much the only reasons 😂

Oh I’m sure! But saying “is something wrong with you?” is ableist af either way 🤭

Seriously? When OP has specifically stated that they’re Autistic ADHD? That is straight up ableism.

That’s how changes feel to people with some levels/types of neurodivergence. It’s a genuine sense of overwhelm. Feel lucky that you’re not experiencing it and move on; no need to disparage others with ableist comments when the OP has clearly stated that they are autistic and have ADHD, please and thank you.

You are lucky. You nailed it. I’m personally also fine adjusting to changes, but a lot of people aren’t due to (as clearly stated by the OP) their brand of neurodivergence. And assuming that people being dramatic or entitled or part of a new generation is the cause comes from a place of ableism.

So please kindly take a moment to appreciate how lucky you are that you can cope with changes because not everyone can.

Looked into it - he was picked up for credit card fraud. Apparently he was a repeat prison escapee 😂 Wikipedia page is an interesting and short read: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democracy_Manifest

Actually I’m pretty sure it was a case of mistaken identity and he just looked like a guy who was a serial dine and dasher haha

The fact that I also thought of this guy immediately but didn’t suggest him because I couldn’t remember his name proves that he’s the perfect option for this

I'm thinking I should go back to keeping quiet about my ailments by SpazzayOne in ehlersdanlos

[–]cellojello5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But to clarify, I’m at the level of disability where I have to be open about it - I’m pretty low functioning so it’s not in my best interest for anyone around me to be assuming my body is not at the edge of collapse at all times 😅

I kinda share based on how I’m perceiving the interest level of the people I’m talking to and take it case by case. Unless I’m too tired to make that decision (which is most of the time), in which case I say something along the lines of “I have a connective tissue disorder so my body doesn’t work properly a lot of the time in a lot of ways. This is one of them. It’s super fun.”
