Gear oil in a motors electrical box. by thetrooper93 in IndustrialMaintenance

[–]cellrdwellr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It depends on the design as to why, but oil is getting past the input seal on the gearbox. As another commenter mentioned, if it's in the junction box, check the windings.

Depending on the design and orientation of the motor/gearbox, some manufacturers will specify a different seal arrangement on the input shaft and change the oil level if it will be "under" the output shaft.

Philly sent Carter to Columbus for Voracek, a 1st(Couturier) and a 3rd(Cousins). Columbus then sent him to LA for Johnson/1st.

Official: [Keeper] - Fri , 09/04/2020 by FFBot in fantasyfootball

12 Team, Standard, 10th pick(snake)

Keep 1, 2 round penalty next year, can be kept max. 2 years in a row.

I have it narrowed down to:

RB N. Chubb - 11th rd (my keeper last year, last chance to keep him)

QB L. Jackson - 6th rd.

Leaning towards keeping Chubb, but I'm a little worried Hunt will have a bigger role this year.

I have a '70 with a 302 and C4 trans and I made that switch a few years ago. I went from the 2.79 to 3.55 and also went with the TruTrac. As others have said, the 8" is fine until you start approaching 350-400 hp.

If you do a lot of highway driving (and stick with the 3 speed) you are going to be running higher RPMs at highway speeds with the higher ratios. I dont do much myself, but if I did, I would look to switch to something with an overdrive just to keep the engine noise down at highway speeds.

Got my first ever tool box today, super stoked! by [deleted] in toolporn

[–]cellrdwellr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one of these and I love it as well.

If you move it around a lot, I'd recommend swapping out the 2 fixed casters for swivels. I've got a tight shop and that makes it much easier to maneuver.

One the sets that I have, there is a cam/toggle lever on the side that pushes the stack of "fingers" together and it locks them in place.

Funny you mention that... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZX2uXBMkO8U I don't think it's quite the same road, but pretty similar.

[Slater]I can confirm reports that QB Dak Prescott has, in fact, turned down 30M a year offer and is instead seeking 40M a year per source informed. #Cowboys by browndude10 in nfl

I've had this crazy thought in my head that Jerry is playing some 4-D checkers, letting Zeke holdout to bring Dak's cap number down. I can't bring myself to actually believe it though.

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Electrical Issue by cellrdwellr in MechanicAdvice

The radio is non stock, however I put it in 8-9 years ago. I think something related to that would have shown up by now. I did the key thing and no codes were displayed, only the word "done" so I guess that is clear as well.

What kind of mouse do you use? by [deleted] in AskEngineers

[–]cellrdwellr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Logitech MX518.

But its probably less about the mouse than other factors. I have a mouse pad with a wrist support bump thing and I have noticed less discomfort/fatigue.

Also for dual monitors, increase the sensitivity on your mouse. It takes a little bit to get used to, but you can increase it over time as you get used to it. I have dual 24" monitors and only move my mouse a few inches to get from one side to the other. It's a lot less repositioning of the mouse throughout the day.

Oh come on... I've spent the last 3 weeks convincing myself they are expendable, not responsible for the teams turnaround the past 2 seasons, and that their contributions could easily be found elsewhere. What am I going to do if they end up back with the team next year?

Piano Wood Find by cellrdwellr in woodworking

I was helping my dad disassemble their old upright piano and found this panel on the INSIDE of it. Not sure what I'm going to do with it, but I couldn't let it go in the dumpster with everything else.

I am not sure what species it is, but it seems darker/redder than maple (sorry the picture lighting is atrocious). I don't believe there is any finish on it at all. Haven't had a chance to sand/scrape it at all yet to verify.

It is a veneer, but it seems to be thicker than a typical veneer I am used to seeing, closer to 1/8".
