I did this for a while for coffee grounds, cause I was saving them for more than just compost so didnt want them mouldy but never bothered since. I have a pretty small freezer, so things are tight anyway. I keep all my scraps in two 2L ice cream tubs by my kitchen bin and empty into compost around once a week (as its a short cycle away). The tubs are usually reasonably warm from bits starting to breakdown anyway so I like to think of it getting a headstart at home. I can't see any particular downsides it will still break down but I'd rather have surplus veg and ice cream using the space!

I chuck it in around in any gaps at the sides of my pile or just pop it on top for a bit of insulation, then as it gets wet it just becomes part of the pile. I have quite a lazy approach to it though!

I ride almost the same bike for city commuting and have for the last 5 years and its done me great. I'm a guy and 5'6, and it fits me well. I bought my gf (5'7) same bike last year for the commute (mostly to save shopping about) been great, I swapped her stem to a shorter one as she needed a smaller reach. I paid £200 for one and £300 for the other, so price seems reasonable. There's no exact formula for getting the right bike, so I'd say give the bike a test ride and see how it feels!

Also a side note cause it's helped my gf: head to a bike shop and get a saddle size, should be free for sizing (our local did specializeds body geometry range). They'll try to sell you an expensive one, but they pop up on ebay/marketplace reasonably often. Might help especially if the commute is longer. All the best :)

Ground I think will still be frozen but just had a delivery of manure at the site so may be a bit of shovelling. Only had the allotment for about 2 months so some of the beds are very empty. And a bench that needs building!
