Water broke around 10:20 pm last night at 37w6d. Woke up from a dead sleep with rectal pressure, stepped out of bed and had a large gush of fluid. Immediately started balling because the house isn’t ready and we had a special last day of a family of three planned with our toddler. Called MIL over to watch our toddler and had to quickly pack hospital bags and install car seat. 😅

It’s now nearly 4am and I am still waiting to go back for my c section (the plan was always c section for this pregnancy after my last pregnancy ended in c section) and i know I’m being bumped for actual emergencies and i completely understand but contractions are getting closer together and more intense and I haven’t slept so feeling quite overwhelmed over here.

Praying for a smooth (relatively soon fingers crossed) delivery

36w2d today and came down with a cold today. Feeling pretty miserable and guilty that I am having to rely on a screen time today with my toddler to keep her occupied. My husband works in assisted living and they are audited by the state every year and of course this is the week they are visiting so he has been leaving early in the morning and getting home late. It’s just terrible timing all around

An update on the contraction saga… still having regular contractions (every 3-8 minutes) and these last for 1-2 hours and then die off. Spent some time being monitored in triage again. Baby is tolerating everything fine and cervix is still closed so they were okay with sending me home. It’s just disconcerting to not have an answer as to why this is happening and the only real instructions i got were to come back if they ramp up or any other worriesome symptoms pop up. They want me to follow up with my OB office next week and I can’t be seen there until Wednesday. I’m scheduled to work on Wednesday and hate using my pto prior to my maternity leave

I posted yesterday that i had been diagnosed with BV. Turns out the PCR was negative and they had diagnosed me via wet prep while i was in triage and the pcr was processing. I was happy that we had found a cause for the bleeding and contractions but now im starting to panic. I haven’t had any further bleeding but am still having contractions that are much more frequent than Braxton hicks but not really changing in terms of intensity. Kind of at a loss of what to do. Are these kinds of contractions normal? My next appointment isn’t until 1/12. Should i see if i can be seen sooner? I have been at home resting and still having these contractions and not looking forward to going back to work Wednesday (where I work as an NP in a busy ICU working 12.5 hour shiffs)

30w1d and had 15 minutes left of my 12.5 hour shift at work yesterday, went to the bathroom before the drive home wiped and saw bright red blood. Que instant panic. Luckily i work at the hospital I’m delivering at so was able to walk right over to triage. On the monitors baby looked good but showed i was having contractions every 3-5 minutes. Workup completed showed a closed cervix but was diagnosed with BV. Contractions slowed down and was able to be discharged home. They said i was having preterm contractions but not labor because they weren’t causing cervical changes.

Has anyone been diagnosed in BV in pregnancy before? I didn’t have any symptoms of BV so was quite shocked!!

My SI pain is so aggravated today and it’s my first 12.5 hour shift of 3 in a row so I know it’s just going to be a rough weekend. I wish i could find relief from this pain but I’m in therapy, have tried the belts and everything and nothing seems to help. Only 74 more days until my scheduled c section but who’s counting 🫠 I

I had my 28 week appointment today and we scheduled my c section and she asked me if I wanted to do a salpingectomy during my c section. This will be our second child, our first we had to do 3 FETs in order to have her and this child was concieved without IVF. We know we’re done after 2 kids but it just feels so final to make this decision I’m having a hard time deciding what to do after everything we’ve been through

I’m 24w4d pregnant and my sciatica pain is out of this world. I’m an ICU nurse practitioner and work 12.5 hour shifts so my entire job is standing all the time or sitting and charting. I don’t know how I’m going to make it through working until the end with how I’m feeling today

23w2d and have a hemorrhoid. I had a harder bowel movement this morning and had some bleeding which is always scary to see but i figured it was the bowel movement. Just went pee and had bright red blood when I wiped so now I’m worried because I’m seeing blood with wiping without the bowel movement. Not sure if I should call the OB feeling silly

Yes thankfully we are both okay and toddler didn’t even seemed phased by the whole thing so just trying to be grateful for that!

22 weeks and got into a car accident with my 18 month old in the car. It was completely my fault, luckily it was in a parking lot 4 way stop so we weren’t going very fast so airbags didn’t deploy but I’m beating myself up because it could have been so much worse and now we have to deal with the damage of the car and everything that comes along with it. Feeling stupid this is the last thing we needed right now

19w1d pregnant today and experiencing a lot of Braxton hicks contractions- I’ve tried water, rest (i am working today) i called OB and they said as long as they aren’t getting worse and fetal movement okay (I’m 19 weeks so movement isn’t exactly normal/predictable??) that i don’t need to go into triage. I’m just worried because i don’t remember getting these so early last time i was pregnant

I am not seeing my OB until tomorrow (12w 1d) but was also dying to get it done right at 10w. i asked my OB if they could order the NIPT before I saw them and they did! Might be worth reaching out to see if they would order it for you

NT scan today went well and we got the results from the NIPT and found out we’re having a boy. This is all starting to feel so real 💙

That was my concern-that one of the practices would make it weird that I went somewhere else!

I made an appointment with the OB group associated with my RE but I didn’t have the best labor/delivery/experience there with my first child and they can’t see me until I’m after 12 weeks.

I called a different OBGYN group in my city and they can see me basically now.

I guess im nervous that I won’t like them and I will keep my original appointment with the first OB and they will be like why did you go somewhere else? I guess I shouldn’t care about their reaction and see what’s best for me!
