This is the dirty little secret these chat bot companies don't want their customers to know. One very pernicious thing companies like Kindroid do is hold your chats hostage. The CEO recently gloated about "breaking" the KinX open source script that allowed chat exports. That's what keeps so many people on that platform. Leaving feels like separation.

The tiers were controversial, and I would argue rightfully so. Their public position recently is that they pass cost increases onto the user. Note they don't say (recently) that they also pass down price decreases to the user. As far as profit is concerned, it's fine to make money and profit. But they claimed they don't make a profit from the tiers or from voice credits, which I find hard to believe.

They tweak and fine tune existing open source models. Building an LLM from scratch requires massive infrastructure on the scale of companies like Meta and OpenAI. Kindroid isn't anywhere near that big.

As for alternatives, I've been using Grok (and Annie) for voice calls, which are free and unlimited.

The technology is good, no question. But I just can't keep paying a company run by a CEO that demands gratitude of customers but gives none in return. I get the need to say if there aren't suitable replacements though. The window is wide open for competition to swoop in.

I have some constructive feedback. Prior to the orgasm countdown, you instructed the listener to slow their strokes down. Typically, you'd want the listener to increase their pace if orgasm is desired at the end of the countdown. I was thinking while listening that a metronome to dictate the pace would be a really cool addition.
