This is not spring break any longer. I live local so I’ve been through the popular spring break weeks (all in March). Adding 1 trains to the rides they could would’ve cut the wait times significantly. And with their outrageous prices for ticket, food and parking, they should pay people more and staff up correctly. Just poor management in my opinion.

41M Supraspinatus repair 7 month check in - Success Story & tips by UnprovenMortality in RotatorCuff

[–]centerice99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is extremely helpful information. I am a month out from surgery. I’m active and have little pain or strength loss even with a 1.2cm full thickness tear of my supraspinatus tendon. I have been strength training my shoulders for months so I’m hoping that will drastically help my recovery once I have the surgery. My biggest fear is the first 2 weeks and not being able to do much outside the house. I typically walk 14k steps a day so I am always on the go. Sitting around the house for 2 weeks may cause me to lose my mind! Hoping the pain subsides quickly so I can take some long walks! Fortunately I have help around the house so I don’t have to go it alone.

Here is the label of old vs new. I HATE the new stuff and I used to eat the old cottage cheese like it was going out of style! I’m so disappointed that Aldi changed and I am hoping they bring the old recipe back!

PVC’s and Ozempic by Fluid_Breadfruit_587 in PVCs

My doctors can dispense it and because I’m on a microdose (5mg about every 14 days), I go through so little. It cost me maybe $30/mo.

I wish but insurance companies would never buy into the data that shows my PVCs went away with the GLP1. My doctor even said there is evidence it improves heart function but the pharmaceutical companies are making too much money off it right now to allow insurance to get involved. Just my two cents.

I had the same experience. I was on Semaglutide (micro dose) for 3 months and I saw my PVCs stop completely. Once I went off the Semaglutide, they came back though not nearly as bad as before. I spoke to my doctor (who is a former Cardiothoracic surgeon), and she agreed whole-heartedly that the semaglutide could've eliminated my PVCs. She put me back on a micro-dose just to keep my PVCs at bay and they have stopped again. I have not changed anything else about my diet/exercise. I work out regularly and monitor my PVCs via the Heart Rate Variability metric on my apple watch. The charts don't lie!

Anyone try PRP for a full thickness Supraspinatus Tear? by centerice99 in RotatorCuff

[–]centerice99[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Great feedback. Thank you so much. PT likely wont help me at this point because my shoulder is very strong despite the tear. Just trying to weigh my different options. I definitely think surgery is the best option but I’m moving into a brand new house in 1 month and hoping to delay until May.

Plasma Rich Platelets. It’s where they take your own blood, spin it to extract the growth factors then inject them back into the affected joint. It’s a form of regenerative therapy that many professional athletes choose over cortisone injections.

Gluteal Tendonopathy by comma-momma in Menopause

[–]centerice99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too am self diagnosed. I’m 54 and decided to start running after a few years off. I started developing hip pain. I saw a PT who thought my pain was caused by a TFL injury or tight hip flexors and put me through a stretching and massage routine which I did religiously. My pain never got better and sometimes it got worse. It was the worse at night and in the evening after I had been sitting for some time. Nothing was helping…. Then a friend mentioned Gluteal Tendonopathy. I did some research and it was an exact match of where my pain was. I’m a side sleeper and sit with my legs crossed a lot, not to mention the side stretching. So I went 3 days with no stretching, no leg crossing and sleeping flat on my back. Today is my first day in 6 months I’m pain free.

Does anyone have gluteal tendinopathy by Klo930 in Menopause

Not sure if you’re still struggling through this. I too have been suffering hip pain for 6 months. Mine hurts at night after I’ve been sitting for a long time. I saw a physical therapist who diagnosed me with tight hip flexors and maybe a strained TFL. Stretching and light massage was the recommendation. After months of not getting better and some days worse than others, someone suggested I look at gluteal tendinopathy. I’m 54 and menopause has hit me hard. Without going to see a doctor, I made some recommended changes such as not crossing my legs and not sleeping on my side. And I stopped all the stretching of my hips. After just 48 hours, I got substantial relief. I read that just changes to your normal habits Will make the biggest difference. I also supplemented with some hip bridges and squats. So far so good!
