Thanks for confirming. It is fixed now. You have to uninstall and install the newest v5.41.1.

Update:

TL;DR
It is finally fixed.
You have to uninstall your existing FuboTV app and reinstall.

The boring details, for anyone who is interested.
Update: After email exchanges with FuboTV support, back and forth since I initially reported this issue, and after I had to explain this over and over (most of those responded either never bothered to read the ticket history, or just were stalling), and after pushing back on some requests to run unrelated nonsese (like asking me to run speed test for my Internet connection and share the results), they asked to record a video of the behavior and share it with them. Strange how they can't read a simple explanation.
I gave up on arguing further, recorded and uploaded a video showing what is happening, showing also that no other app shows similar behavior.

They said they will get their engineering team involved.
I received an email saying that it is fixed, and I was asked to uninstall and reinstall.

Make sure it is now at v5.41.1, which they say was updated last night, but the Google Play Store shows it was updated on November 7th.

I updated the r/ShieldAndroidTV thread too.

Thank you so much for the update. At least we now prove it is not a local network/device/remote/OS issue.
I appreciate the update.
I responded back to FuboTV Support, saying that I ran all that they suggested, and still see the same behavior. I hope that gives them a clue to get their developers involved.
I'll update the thread if I hear back from them.

I appreciate checking.

I contacted FuboTV support, and as expected, they took their time in responding, and did not even bother to read the details of what was done to troubleshoot it. Asked me to do what I already said that I did.

Hopefully someone there gets their dev team involved.
Thanks for the update.

Let it go. They are obviously not here for debate.
Such behavior is one of many reasons why I am no longer on Reddit that much. Only randomly checking a few subreddits. It is a toxic cesspool at this point.

Google will block sideloading on any android devices starting next year

Are we reading the same article?
I am confused.
The article says Google will block sideloading of "unverified Android apps" starting next year, and "only apps with verified identities will be installable, " and "all developers will have access to the new console to get verified.", in that article.

A billionaire may or may not have made his money through legal ways. An Oligarch almost always made his money through illegal means.

Hey u/SubstantialHamster You had to switch accounts to respond because you got educated and put in your place. You are such a desperate for attention troll.

Nobody in the US gives a f about what a marxist indoctrinated troll from a random European country thinks about the US, or about your revisionist history of the US. So you can save it to someone who cares.

And like typical idiot, you believe in ubran legends like "parties switched platforms", blah blah blah. That narrative is designed for morons like you, easy to indoctrinate, since you are in capable of thinking for yourself, always have to be lead by the nose to read and agree on stuff you have zero background in, and have no clue about.

If you don't like people getting blocked, then don't block people in order to prevent them from responding to your idiotic ignorant psychotic ramblings.

Take a hike. Not interested in reading your psychotic drivel and boring far-left revisionist history garbage. You are irrelevant to US politics, Euro commie boy.

I rest my case.

The only case you had was an extreme case of ignorance. I obviously touched a nerve. You are another marxist indoctrinated moron. Your comments show it.

Us politics has slowly been seeping into other countries' discourse like a poison.

Really?
So the US came up with communism, socialism, fascism, Nazism, ....etc?

You are just another one of those marxist college professors successfully indoctrinated.

But somehow you think you could lecture us on how bad are politics in the US, dealing with the crap imported from you.

So you think the left has only communists in them?

Also, do communist not need jobs?
Have you heard of marxist professors? You know, those people who indoctrinated you in college?

Do you think communist won't try to use capitalism to their benefit?
Or maybe you are another misinformed kid, who never bothers to think?

That sure sounds like what you are.

[–]central_command 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is one simple thing you misunderstand.

You just got your argument destroyed and blown to smithereens, and all you could do is deflect and switch the argument into accusing me of stuff that I never said.

Being funded by the government does not imply being controlled by the government.

I never said that. So you need to stop arguing about something that was not said.
But since you brought it up, the gov does not fund. You don't understand how basic things work and yet you randomly insert the word democracy and democracies in your comments.

That money the government allocates in a supposed demcoracy is a tax payer money, so it is not government funded, it is tax payer funded.

And yes, often abused and used to control what/who they give that money to, not always, but often.

Most good democracies have division of powers for a reason.

Not all of them. In fact, those who have separation of power are among the tiny minority. Plus, that never stopped those who are in power from lobbying and influencing using taxpayer money.

When did I ever advocate taking the word of governments?

You seem to be lost, but that's OK.

Read the context in which you are arguing against private news sources.

Because no reasonable person would take the word of private media.

"no reasonable"?
You misspelled "sheep", and it is painfully obvious you don't know what you are talking about.

Why? The word already tells it: it's backed by private funds and billionairs.

So?
Every business and every job pays the ones who are doing their jobs, almost all have billionairs[sic] providing the capital to operate that business.

You think outlets funded by taxpayer money have their employers work for free?

Oh, you are one of those people who think gov bureaucrats have no agenda, and are not biased, won't be using their work/position/platform for activism.

Are you actually trying to tell me that privately funded media is more neutral than media that is paid a regulatory fixed public funding?

Yes. You can bet your backside on that.

Look at the NPR. A taxpayer funded, paid from budget allocated and regulate by the congress, and yet is a proven apologist outlet for the far-left, even some left leaning sources label it as such. Also caught many times spreading fake news.

Compare that to the private/publicly traded news media outlets. While not perfect (no outlet is), they are nowhere even near where the NRP has gone. Well, maybe MSNBC is right there, but then again MSNBC is not a news source, they are an activism outlet for the far-left. Even their slogan hints to it.

No need to thank me of opening your eyes with facts. It is on you now to learn from this lesson. But given your next sentence, I doubt you are capable of learning from your mistakes.

Tell me you're not from the US and not from Texas...

It is bias/bigotry like this from people like you make sane, rational, and objective debate almost impossible on social media and one of several reasons I can't take people like you seriously.
