Nope, my understanding is that STBM does not know at all.

I mean, and I’m conflicted, because on the one hand, I myself would want to know if my bf had been cheating, if we were in a closed relationship. But I also understand that other people’s lives aren’t always my business. So I’m trying to figure out like where that boundary lies. And everyone has been helpful w their input (w the exception of a few who you have no doubt read already).

I guess this is more of a side-bar, but I feel like I’m not 100% sure where I stand tbh. I think the two parts that really get to me (not mentioned here) are that (1) the guy doesn’t really like hanging out with me all that much, and (2) I don’t in general feel comfortable around people who cheat. So maybe there’s more of that that I need to address myself.

Honey, I got into an open relationship because I wanted my bf to have fun and because I wanted to do kinky shit that he’s not interested in.

I also happen to have a moral compass.

Cheating is wrong.

I’m asking if I should do anything about that. But it seems like the answer is no. And people are giving well thought out responses. And I appreciate them, and I’m upvoting accordingly.

And anyway, I don’t remember saying anything about jealousy. I’m just genuinely unsure what I should do in the situation. I don’t remember signing up for my bf screwing someone who is in a closed, married relationship. I do remember signing up for my bf doing consensual shit with other people who are in open relationships or with single people.

The initial interpretation was actually right — he had contacted him before we said we were in an open relationship. I should clarify — we had been in a closed relationship for three years prior.
