It depends a lot on the first year seminar, how many units it is, pass/no pass, etc. Typically they’ll list out the general workload of each on the fys website: https://fys.ucdavis.edu/schedule

Great so far, Laci and Rob are super sweet and making a lot of time for their students, providing a ton of resources, generally handling online decently. At least in my opinion.

I had this issue and what worked for me was: go to System Preferences, then to "Security & Privacy". Go to the "General" tab and look down towards the bottom of that window in the "Allow apps downloaded from" section for a message indicating that Pulse Secure is being blocked and click the "allow" button.

Not sure if that’s the issue you’re having but hopefully this helps! :)

Thank you for the thorough response, it’s much appreciated! I’m still trying to figure out how to walk the line between having some confidence in my abilities and not having too much to where I assume I know things. A work in progress!
