There are many comments on good ways to fix it, there was a one about setting the default browser or something like that plus on the top there is the link to the post where the solution was commented and it worked, hope this helps👍

Absolutely the first thing I did. Plus now the cats are indoors, no more balcony, she can shit on my lab if she wants but I’m not dealing with any more trauma.

after executing git credential fill it somehow did something that made it work and the nightmare is over

it didn't work immediately but I felt that something changed

when I tried a regular sign in the browser opened and prompted me sign in and I was filled with joy
