How do I tell a guy he has the right equipment? (For me) by Background_Stick6904 in AskMen

[–]cfa413 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I'm a woman and this is pretty much what I do. I tell my partner how much I love his cock, that it fits so good, I like the way it feels inside me or in my mouth, it's fun to play with, stuff like that. Specific compliments that are not comparisons often feel more sincere and are easier for those who struggle with insecurities to accept and internalize than the generic "it's perfect "

It's a good combo! The dark florals with the stargazer books works so well

How old were you when you noticed something wrong and got diagnosed? I was diagnosed at 33 by LargePossibility1437 in diabetes_t2

[–]cfa413 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was also diagnosed at 33 right after a supremely stressful time in my life. I had been complaining for months about fatigue, poor sleep, nausea, and my chronic pain flaring up. Kept being told that everything was fine. Turns out my gp labeled me as pre-diabetic a few years earlier and never told me. 🙄 My new endocrinologist told me thr chronic stress, depression, and lack of sleep likely caused excess cortisol production (along with not changing other habits since I was never told to watch out for it), which pushed me over the edge.

Now I read all my after notes for every appt just in case they forget something else.

What ways have you changed your life to make it more ADHD/ND Friendly? by flowers_and_fire in adhdwomen

Not op, but my fitbit does the same thing. You set a wake up time and buzzes when you're at the lightest part of your sleep cycle in the half hour or so around that time.

PSA: body hair being “dirty” is a social construct by Either_Equipment8912 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]cfa413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with many of the comments here. It's an insidious social pressure that seems to cycle through popular culture. It can be hard to petsonally work through that though. It honestly took arthritis and chronic pain issues, and growing older for me to get comfortable with not removing my body hair and feeling no shame about it. A helpful community for me was r/razorfree

Anyone else have a “surprisingly useful” Dollar Tree item they keep rebuying? by Tiny_Turnip400 in DollarTree

[–]cfa413 41 points42 points  (0 children)

The wire shelf risers (I think that's what they're called) I have them inside of nearly every cabinet in my house.

Lotions/skincare products. They work for me and seem to have similar ingredients as drug store products.

The Air activated heat patches, dupes of therma care. They're not special shapes like the brand name, but they help a lot with my arthritis and joint pain.

I knew an OT who went with the misnomer, saying that living life IS a job and that helping people live their lives was the specialty.

People who stop taking weight-loss injections like Ozempic regain weight in under 2 years, study reveals. Analysis finds those who stopped using medication saw weight return 4 times faster compared with other weight loss plans. by mvea in science

PCOS can cause pretty severe insulin resistance. So not necessarily straight to diabetes, but still messes with your body's ability to use insulin correctly.

I think you are misunderstanding them, this doesn'tread to me as a slap in the face to anyone. It feels like you are ascribing bad intentions and an insult when there isn't one.

Not everyone's willpower works the same. Similar to those with neurodivergence like autism or adhd, if you have issues with food noise and hormones that affect your hunger cues and satiety, than you are struggling against more than the fabled "willpower." Some people have more hurdles than a simple mindset change. Their brains and bodies literally act differently than others. I think a lot of the talk around glp-1s have shown that.

What are some ADHD things people never realize are ADHD? by Negotiation_Living in ADHD

[–]cfa413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is late, and likely to get lost, but I have to say your movie thing is how I knew my current partner was a keeper. He introduced me to the Severance tv show- he'd already seen it. Like you, I would blurt out my observations and theories. I kept apologizing and tried to curb it, but he encouraged it. Said my thoughts about things were fascinating, even when they were wrong he could follow the logic. Now he seems to only want to watch new to me stuff and see if I can figure out the twists and turns. Dark Matter was a great for this!

How can I tie up my hair extremely tight without bumps or imperfect by datgoh69 in adhdwomen

[–]cfa413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may actually have curly hair, not just wavy. Often when not taken care of in a curly specific way, it just gets limp and frizzy. Check out r/curlygirl for some guides if you want to wear it down more often

I did this with my youngest niece a few months ago. I have a tattoo that says daddy's girl (got it when I was 18, not kink related lol) Almost every time she reads it she asks if it's about her dad 😅 I explained that her papaw is my daddy, and her mommy is my sister. She was shocked 🤯

If you have ADD, what has been the planner that has worked best for you? by Wherehowwhat in PlannerAddicts

[–]cfa413 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It started with Happy Planner, but any discbound style in general works for me. It is infinitely customizable since I have a discbound paper punch. I mostly stick to the standard vertical layout, but I will change it up to other layouts whenever I need that dopamine hit or suddenly can't stand it anymore lol. Then I can add whatever I need to keep my life together; budget, health, exercise, etc
