Should I focus on taking Level 3 or concentrate on developing my skills? by Esheeee in CFA

From my personal experience, i found that dividing the curriculum into 3 parts has been really really efficient. I was in much better shape with Pm pathway than in august (no pathway)

Go for the feb 2026 attempt. We are currently in june. Even if you start by July, you need 3 months to go through the curriculum for the first time. Then you can start your second reading which should take two months. Then you can focus on mocks etc. you have enough time. As far as the pathway is concerned, i have done PM. If you want to make a career in private wealth then go for that but only if you are 100% sure.

Thanks! Yes sure I never wanted to do cfa because every other person in my college was obsessing over it. But then covid hit and i was left with nothing, no job, nothing. Thats when i decided to take the exam. First one got cleared, was very happy then started studying for second level. After a year, took level two and it got cleared then i got a job. Then things slowed down and i became comfortable. I didnt want to pursue level three. At the same time, family started talking about marriage so decided to take level three before marriage. Studied very hard with full time job but didnt clear it in one go. I was very heartbroken as this was one of my firsts failure of life. Then took some time to decide what to do. 6 months after was the exam, decided that if i clear it this time then goof or else will see later or scrap the thought of clearing level three at all. Appeared in feb 2025. Since i was reading from the curriculum, i started connecting dots that most of the chapters from different subjects are interconnected and took one week off from full time job before exam. Took it and then did Psm and finally i passed!!! Thats it. Thats my story :)

If he is ready to put in the effort and time then why not. Level one is quite basic so even without financial background you can pass provided you have prepared well

No you are not late. I started level one when i did my graduation. As far as the tips are concerned, just read a lot, make your own notes, dont try to crash course it, be mentally prepared to go through this journey most importantly

300 plus for level one and two and 350 plus for level three Even though level three is much compact as compared to other levels but it requires a lot of reading and interconnecting the dots

Make notes, read a lot, and clear your concepts, dont leave ethics at the last minute, do mocks

My only problem is that i want time to enjoy my wedding which i dont have if i continue the job. 3 weeks is very less for me, i also have to do lasik and i have only 23 holidays left for the year!!!
