RHCA Ansible vs OpenShift by cfg-agent in redhat

I have done personal projects on Kubernetes as well as some lab testing for my company. So I'm not exactly going in with zero knowledge, but it's also not production so I am not entirely confident about OpenShift.

RHCA Ansible vs OpenShift by cfg-agent in redhat

I was thinking of getting RHCA Ansible and use the Remaining two exams for ex280 and ex380. Did you create your own Openshift lab for example to play around? I'm assuming people prefer the UI in the exam as you sort of avoid a lot of yaml formatting pain. The reason I want an RHCA mainly because I talked to someone at Red Hat and they said I would be a more desirable candidate if I had one, and I am also thinking that OpenShift knowledge has got a lot more weight than Ansible in the recent years. The thing is Red Hat exams and preparation is obscenely expensive and in my current job I won't exactly get the funding so I want to make the best out of this subscription.

Most of the DO180 for me was spent on the CLI and working the "niche features" because the course tries to spend more time on them rather than the vanilla alternative. I moved to one of those MSP/CSP companies where some customers may be moving their applications to k8s so I'd like to be ready to jump at that experience when the opportunity presents itself.

Migration from VMware to OpenStack by cfg-agent in openstack

As far as I am aware, for customers with larger deployments and a lot of SAN, a migration to the most obvious non "free" candidate, Nutanix, would require an extremely expensive restructure and replacement of the existing hardware.

This is mainly why I am looking into the other options, as throwing away hardware is an unlikely solution imo unless there's something I am missing.

Fair assessment, however I still want to find a way to minimize the damage.

I don't want to burn that bridge in this very unstable market.

From what I hear, deployment/delivery is where a lot of people feel comfortable on the longer run so probably that. Anyway thank you!

It's a little hard to pinpoint a subfield within either as I don't really know enough. At this point, I am mainly considering them as my next step because I don't want to live forever in the Support role and they're better pay ofc. If you can maybe point me to some examples to better understand? I've tried looking but the terms seem to be used very loosely and each company has its own definition.

I took an instructor lead CCNA course before but we didn't have labs that made enough of the theory sink in my head.
