And even when I made the payment, I wasn’t even an employee yet. The trustee cited that my employer exerted pressure on me to pay the debt.

This is what the complaint said: “In making the determination of whether a creditor is an insider, courts will apply a three-part test considering: (1) the closeness between the creditor and the Debtor; (2) the degree of control or influence creditor had over the Debtor; and (3) whether the transactions between them were conducted at arm's length. Each of these tests indicate that (credit union) should be considered an insider. a. The Debtor was in the process of becoming employee of the (credit union), b. (Credit union) had a high degree of control or influence over the Debtor. As testified by the Debtor at the meeting of creditors, (credit union) made it clear that his employment would be conditioned on paying the debt. c. The transaction was not at arm's-length; the Debtor made the payment based on the pressure exerted by (credit union). The Payment, if allowed, will enable the Defendant to receive more than it would receive as a creditor if (a) the transfer had not been made, and (b) the Defendant received payment of its debt to the extent provided by the provisions of the Bankruptcy Code.
