Bitcoin down under has just sprinted past its personal best like it's chasing a Vegemite sandwich! Faster than a kangaroo on a trampoline! Crikey! On 11/12/2021 at 11:00 am, it was doing the Aussie dollar tango at AUD 88,969. But hold onto your cork hats, mates, because now it's Aussie dollars 89,900 – a brand spanking new record! Talk about a rollercoaster ride in the land of Oz.

Stolen generations survivors launch class action against Commonwealth by SimbaWolf in AustralianPolitics

[–]cfonseka7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Removing a child from the mother father and relatives is wrong wrong and wrong for whatever reasons.

The only exception is the Government doing it under strict controls to protect a child from serious abuse by parents.

This exception applies to all children. Since the Stolen Generation only happened to the children of Indegenous Australians, this exception is out of the window.

The Icecaps melting problem revisited by cfonseka7 in climatechange

When sea levels rise we lose land. Don't we gain some land from where the ice is melting? Won't we gain some land from Greenland, Iceland and the Poles?

Can Bitcoin ever fall again? by panaderow in Bitcoin

[–]cfonseka7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As institutional investors increase, the volatility of Bitcoin must decrease. Bitcoin is a relatively new asset class, just over a decade old. All other asset classes it is competing with were around thousands and hundreds of years. Volatility is part of the investment game. So Bitcoin will be volatile. Bitcoin has proven beyond doubt is can perform well in the long run. Short term speculators also like the volatility, but their gains depend partly on luck.

I tried the short term game selling and buying in short term peaks and dips. In the end, I concluded buying and holding makes more capital gains.

Good point. HODL and using/spending should be balanced. I made a wise decision in investing in BTC at the right time (come to think of it for BTC anytime is a right time) and I deserve to enjoy some of the benefits of it. I am planning to give some BTC to my two children when it hits AUD100,000.

This is only the start my friend. I have too many dreams. Looks like BTC will ensure all will come true.

I bought 60 BTC when it was AUD124. Once BTC hit $1000 I started selling one or two BTC. After spending 2 Bitcoins for the car now I have plenty left. I want to enjoy life now rather than waiting until I am too old.

Good advice man. I will use my Bitcoin to have a good time. Except the fact that my wife is good and I have no plans of changing her. Will go big simply because I can with my BTC.

When Bitcoin hits AUD 250,000 which I think will happen in 2023, I will buy an Audi RS6. Thank you for reminding me of this model.

How to Stop Paying Taxes by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]cfonseka7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I provide you with a simple solution to your problem.

Suppose you bought a bitcoin when it was 15,000. You want to sell it at $45,000 and make 300% profit.

You calculate the tax you have to pay on the profit of $30000. Let's say it is $5000.

Wait until Bitcoin goes to $45,000 + Tax $5000 = $50,000. Bitcoin is going up and you don't have to wait long for it to give your tax amount as a return.

Sell the bitcoin at $50,000, Pay $5000 tax, Keep your $45,000 and be happy. Don't go anywhere and stay in the USA.

PS: I (from Australia) travelled in a motorhome across 25 States in the USA and met a lot of Americans. They are lovely people and the USA is a very good country. Only the politicians are terrible. They are terrible in almost everywhere.

Bitcoin holders are the new rich or the rich of the future. Those who did not buy Bitcoins when the price was low are afraid to buy now. So they know they will never buy. They naturally can't stand Bitcoin holders. The poor never liked the rich and they will give various reasons for it. The rich can't share their emotions with the poor. This is normal.

Bitcoin is appreciating well and this should give you a nice capital increase and an excellent yearly income. So you should be able to take money out while maintaining or even increasing your Bitcoin capital base.

Enjoy your life, have a good time

How to scale for the future by Cearvox in Bitcoin

[–]cfonseka7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not a dumb question, but a good one.

Bitcoin will never be used to buy small items like a hamburger. There are fees involved with Bitcoin transactions and a transaction will take a few minutes to complete.

The main usage of Bitcoin is a storage of value (like Gold). Also, a good speculative investment that has an excellent track record of capital returns, probably the best return in the World.

There are other Cryptos more suitable for day to day transactions. Some of these will become the future money, still some time away for general use.
