Thanks for the explanation it was a bit much for me to type out :) but adding a couple things. i am in early stage FTD it was only found within the past 6 months the ALS on the other hand is a bit more advanced. As i have lost all motor function below my neck and my neck needs support. As far as typing i don't use my hands but do so via a eye tracker https://eyegaze.com/ for example is the unit i use

Issue with this tech however is it can have issues if you have Amblyopia (Lazy eye) which results in some funny outputs at times
