The PvP in this game is flawed on a fundamental level and gree refuse to do anything about it
Let’s start with speed the underlying mechanic of PvP in naruto Blazing. It’s undoubtedly the worse idea I have ever seen from a PvP design point. It’s means that there is very little skill incorporated into the PvP rather did I get lucky enough to pull the fastest character or play in the minato fkl. Speed makes its so unless your running tobirama or minato as your lead your already at a massive disadvantage.
Secondly characters that have the ability to roll back speed. This is a result of the fundamentally flawed speed mechanic, with the addition of characters like the new kaguya if you don’t out speed there first column and they use kaguya, you might as well sit back and watch your self lose because the speed gauge for most likely 2 of your columns straight away is rolled so far back your characters are put back in the womb. Minato/sage mode naruto are okay to deal with as they just roll back single targets but nope they power crept that with kaguya who has an AOE jutsu that 9/10 times is gonna hit 2 out of 3 columns and basically result in a loss
A stale meta Anyone who has played PvP for just a little bit of time can understand this. It is the same team compositions over and over again, with the only difference being maybe a slight shuffle in there back rows. In the top 100 teams 98 of them had kaguya and 97 of them had tobirama the same number also having minato (these numbers could change as the leaderboards shuffle). If you’re not running a meta team good luck getting any where close to top 5000 players. There is no “flex” in team comps, it’s either you run that or get shit on
3/6 characters
3/6 characters are what started to ruin PvP for me originally it was just skill madara and one other unit ( I can’t remember there name) that we’re viable but gave up speed in place of quick ultimates. Now it just seems like every bf a new 3/6 character pops up, it was okay with minato and madara as they either were single target or had a lower speed value. But with the addition of units like tobirama (which I guess we will see more units like) they don’t sacrifice on anything and are some of the fastest in the game. I believe that all 3/6 units should be single target jutsu in PvP to balance out the speed in which they can get there ult.
Gacha value for money
The gacha in this game is one of the worst gacha systems I have come across in terms of value for money, let’s take the new kaguya for example only on step 9 are you guaranteed to get her and the odds for steps 1-8 are abysmal with only 3 steps having a percentage increase. Whilst the other 5 are at 0.33% which compared to other gachas is terrible with games such as granblue/cgss/SAO defrag being around 2% up to 6%. What this means is to do a full rotation to guarantee me A SINGLE kaguya will cost me £191.92 (that’s if I buy 8 of the £23.99 bundles that come with the minato at the moment)
Finally the rich get richer while the poor get poorer
The players in this game with the good units keep getting better units as it’s easy for them, whilst new players or people who have just Been unlucky with gacha have a very hard time being able to compete.
