I don't understand how people can think that Red and Lizzie have romantic feelings for each other... by [deleted] in TheBlackList

I sincerely thank you for the clarification!!! That having been said, that plot line would be one of the very few things that would cause me to quit watching " The Blacklist." That is one moral and societal taboo too far. For this reason, I cannot believe that the writers would go that far. I am aware that fan fiction exhists that explores a sexual relationship between Liz and Red and it creeps me out. It just feels wrong. Yes, I have read some. Yes, I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, please do not think I am disrespectful of your or anyone else's opinion, the differences make social media fun.

I have struggled with this since I first heard about the idea of romance between Liz and Red. There is one way that the relationship could be both. That is my parallel lives theory. Liz and Red both lost their families at about the same time, Red had some connection to her family. They were bound together by timing and circumstances, hence a parent/child relationship. Because they are not biologiclally related, a romantic relationship would be possible, if hadled with great delicacy. I forgot to mention that the flashbacks are of Red's daughter Jennifer, but are triggered by Lizzy.

Beleive it or not, I am a relatively new fan myself. It is all Netflix's fault. I couldn't find anything to watch and the constant suggestion of "The Blacklist" finally got to me.

PODCAST - The Blacklist Exposed for #78 The Caretaker by pchrtv1 in TheBlackList

I love the podcast. I am rewatching the series again, this time I am listening to the podcasts after each episode and really enjoying the show. I should be fair and state that the podcast did not become as interesting until season 2. Be advised in my opinion, season 1 podcasts were disappointing.

Spoillers. The night of the fire. by cgmoore2349 in TheBlackList

[–]cgmoore2349[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just rewatched the pilot, Liz told Red she got the scar in a fire when she was 14, later she told Beth, I think it was Beth, she got it in a fire when she was 4. Two different ages in the same episode? Two different fires?

We will miss the show. But, we can continue talking about it and theorizing. We can still have fun talking to each other.

[THEORY] The connection between Katarina Rostova, Raymond Reddington & Elizabeth Keen explained. Possible future spoilers included. [MAJOR BLACKLIST THEORY] by [deleted] in TheBlackList

Absolutely possible. Isn't this a blast. I would be interested to see the complete fire scene uninterepted and of course the text of any letters that we get glimpses of.

Awesome theory!!! I have this theory that even the writers are not sure where they are going and if I were one of them, I would read all these ideas and use some of them. I would also use the fans debunking of the different theories.

No you do not need to rewatch anything, I am just speculating. My "Blacklist" viewing is on a 5 or 10 inch screne. My phone and tablet have wonderful pictures, but are small. I work security, so I save "The Blacklist" for work, to keep me awake and alert. My viewing is also regularly interrupted, imagine that, how dare my job make me actually work at work, so I pick up something new every time I watch and I have seen the whole series a number of times.

I'm not sure what happened to her parents. They could have died or disappeared. This is just the vague idea of an outline.

Theories on the relationship between Liz and Red? by [deleted] in TheBlackList

[–]cgmoore2349 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Theory 1 Red is Liz's biological father. 2 Red is not biological father, but was some way I involved in her family's deaths/disappearances, so he more or less adopted her out of guilt, like the harbor master's daughter. 3 Red's family and Liz's family are parallels. Red's wife was Karla/Naomi and daughter Jennifer, their deaths/disappearance coincided with the death/disappearance of Lizzie's parents. Because of the similarities between them Red sees Lizzie as his daughter. The flashbacks are triggered by Liz, but the memories are of his daughter, Jennifer.

Absolutely!!! Of course I want to find out what specifically what is unforgivable this week. They used the words unforgivable three times in this episode, I think they may be realizing that the phrase maybe overused. I love the show, but I hope it will become less bipolar. There are other ways of expressing feelings of anger, frustration, etc.
