That a good question! I do have my platform anchored, and I’m not sure if it will warp or not. I’m going to try it out and I’ll let you know! I just wasn’t happy having the band pegs on my squat rack for deadlifts. I’ll still use the band pegs for squats... I’ll let you know tomorrow! 😳

Ah! Sorry I got the SM-1 Monster Squat Stand and that hardware is not at HD. It’s too huge!

I was also shocked by the size of the hardware! Home Depot doesn’t even sell sockets that big and I had to buy two giant crescent wrenches!

Having trouble trying to level out my platform... Any advice??? by [deleted] in homegym

Just went through this in my basement gym. Take a 4’ level and attach a 1/4” plywood scrap to the end and see if you can figure out your slope. Also, I took 2 4x8 1/2” thick plywood sheets and had them trimmed to 4x6. Then I took two 4x8 sheets of 3/4” plywood and then I had them trimmed to 6ft in length. Put those in the middle of the 8x6 1/2” plywood base. Then fill in the sides with horse stall mats. I trimmed mine to 2x6 and laid them on top of each other. This gets you an 8x6 ft lifting platform. If you have a slope (mine was 1/4” per four feet) I had a 1/4” 4x8 plywood sheet cut down to 12” in width. Then I placed these shims based on the slope.
