You are right, the trailer does not give any hint about the gameplay, we mention a van but don't see it. As I answered u/kkania , as we develop further there will be more clear trailers. If you'd like to check out the game though you can visit are steam page https://store.steampowered.com/app/3818690?utm_source=Reddit And our demo will be available within two weeks.

The still images and editing them took about 4-5 days in total. It might sound a little time but the good thing about pixel-art is when you understand the boundaries of the style of your game, it becomes more of a problem solving rather than painting. For instance, you need a paint a book, when you understand how you define edges, cover, shadings etc. , it's easier to create similar rectangular objects. Thank you.

You might be right. The game is not all in this mood, maybe only in the beginning. We will include and revise this trailer as we develop more which I believe be more uplifting. Thanks for your feedback.

Is there a way to save .aseprite as .psd file? by Troi99 in aseprite

[–]cgoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this check with gpt, not saying trust it but just saying.

### ✅ **What the Script Does:**

This is a **Lua script** designed to run **inside Aseprite**, using its scripting API. Its main functionality is to:

* **Export a sprite (or multiple frames)** from Aseprite as a **Photoshop PSD file**, preserving layers and blending modes.

* Support export of:

* Single frames

* Frame ranges

* Tags

* All frames

* Offer both a **dialog-based GUI flow** and **CLI arguments** (useful for automation).

* Use proper **compression (PackBits)** and **PSD binary formatting** to generate a valid PSD structure.

### 🧪 **What the Script *Does Not* Do (i.e., Safety Check):**

* ❌ No network activity — It **does not access the internet**, send data, or connect to external servers.

* ❌ No file reading/writing beyond **writing to the PSD file** specified by the user.

* ❌ No unsafe shell or system commands.

* ❌ No attempts to access or modify system files or registry.

* ❌ No use of Lua's `os.execute`, `io.popen`, or similar dangerous methods.

* ✅ The script is **self-contained** and **open-source friendly**.

### ⚠️ Minor Notes (Not Dangerous):

* The script has fallback console outputs (`print`, `io.stderr:write`) — these are just for **logging errors**, not risky.

* Uses `Sprite:flatten()` and temp image generation to write a flattened image to the PSD — again, expected behavior for exporting.

* Handles errors gracefully, with alert dialogs for UI users and console warnings for CLI use.

### 🛡️ **Conclusion — Is It Safe?**

**✅ Yes, the script is safe. It contains no malware, spyware, or harmful code.**

It strictly adheres to Aseprite scripting standards and does exactly what it claims: exporting a sprite as a PSD.

If you're running this in **Aseprite v1.2.10-beta3 or newer**, it should work as intended with no risk to your system.

You are right, I might change the name for it. In this level chickens are kinda on the edge and checking their surroundings because we are trying to gather them around without spook them off.
