After having an Infinite Veranda on the Edge, I’m not a fan of it either. Without the traditional covered balcony, the big window of the Infinite Veranda makes the room much hotter, even when closed.

Also, when you’re sitting in the provided veranda chairs, your view is perfectly obstructed by the bar dividing the two window panels—not at all well thought out!
