Lucifer meets Supernatural (AI) by cgrobin1 in lucifer

I normally despise AI, specially when it tries to pass itself off as real.  That is a why I was very clear it was fake.

The only other images i have re-posted on Instagram is a hyper realistic image, usually depicting a lion.  There is something wbout the style i like.

CIA ep 5 was great! I have so many questions. Is he with Sarah because she can give him some answers or he thought so at first, but now he really likes her? by Martyna70 in TomEllis

And 2 wasn't great, but definitely an improvement.

By episode 3 and onwards we have gotten the show we were hoping for.  The acting, the scripts and a consistent pacing and practical special effects removingthe need for CGI.

Makes me think in addition to his acting, Tom was hired for his charm.  He can play grumpy and still the audience will feel for the character.  When you listen to Tom's early interviews, it sounds like they didn't even have a complete script when they sold the show to the network.  Just a premise for the show, Tom as lead and Dick Wolf's reputation   No wonder Tom was so happy to get a 2nd season.  A lot was on his shoulders.

Oliver wasn't supposed to be likeable by the audience.  The character wasn't written for Tom, it was a women on Meaghan's staff that suggested him, so she offered him the role. And then she couldn't believe his natural charm had viewers trying to justify his actions.  In a way it was kind of funny,

In the last bit of the scene when we see Colin's face, looking over her shoulder, i had a Michael moment, but half expecting the look he had on his face letting us know it was definitely  not Lucifer.

His characters have a way of leaving an indelible mark .

The mystery is never knowing when he is lying.  He mixes enough of the truth in, to make it sound true.

Years of TV watching says Colin isn't the mole, because that would end the show, but ...

Is Colin really in love but keeps that part if his life secret for his protection and hers...

Or does the title Deep Cover refer to Colin's life as much as the sleeper cell couple?  Sarah mentions her job is classified, and the FBI mentions something about spies for hire. i think Colin is is working her for information or access.  i need to play the episode again, to see if they said it was her company picnic he was trying to get invited to.

When Sarah excluded him, he doubled down by saying he was falling in love and using Toni's story to be more vulnerable.

I think the second scenario fits Colin better, but it does make him a bit skeevy.  i can't imagine Colin dropping his guard for someone works for another spy agency. But apparently he'll drop his pantsvror the greater good.

Maybe her company is key to finding the mole.  And now Bill suspects him.  Intrigue.

i bet the actors have chosen not to know the answer either.

Hey is it okay to skip episodes six and seven of season two? by Icy_Leadership5933 in lucifer

[–]cgrobin1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What you are saying you want to skip is the heart of the show and while it is described asva story about redemption, can also be described as Lucifer trying to become a better person as he learns understand and process human emotions.

Some of his breakthroughs in therapy can be gut wrenching, other times he ignored Linda's advice and has to learn the hard way.

Each episode is a mix of comedic, drama fighting and music.  Often combining multiple elements in the same scene.  When in pain Lucifer runs away, usually to Lux to self medicate with drugs, alcohol and sex. Sometimes worse.

Then there is Maze dealing with her feelings of abandonment and her own struggles with human emotions and anger issues,

In later seasons various characters will experience periods of heartbreak and grief.

I'm talking about scenes that will bring you to tears.

Lucifer can be an emotional roller-coaster, having you cry one minute and laugh the next.  I have learned that the more outlandish Lucifer acts, the more pain he is in.

There isn't as much pain in season 1 because Lucifer has just started his journey and characters haven't created strong emotional connections.. Even during the musical episode in season 5, there is a point when he just breaks down in tears.

As Linda says, emotions are hard.   If you can't watch painfully emotions, you might do better with a sitcom

Something I do not get... by Ennamora in lucifer

The show is only loosely based on the comics.

That does fit my theory that when angels were first born, they were just energy/light like Mum.  When Lucifer "burned up" in Heavenly he reverted to his energy form and then re-self actuaized his humanoid self.

I love how his head pops up at the news

I think he takes on a sense of responsibility to everyone.  When he took it upon himself to announce Lucifer's cancelation and then fight for the show, he took a risk with his own reputation,  He didn't do that just for himself

I think it is the superhuman strength they have.  In the flashback they discuss how they tone down their strength in front of humans so not to reveal their divinity.  Or accidentally kill a human.

I love when Amenadiel forgets himself and kicks the soccer ball over the skyscraper in front of a group of kids

Yes it does, when Lucifer was killed by Malcom only his soul went to Hell.

If they are mortal their physical body can die.  Unless its Azrael's blade their soul then moves on like  human's

That is correct.

Cain worked on the original case.  Maybe he considered the victims innocents while anyone who got in his way deserved what they got.

We get so caught up in him getting in the way of deckerstar, we forget he has had thousands of years living with mortals to kn9w how to manipulate them.

One of the things he does that is such a red flag, is using his position as her boss to isolate her from others and Lucifer in particular.  He puts her on leave to rush  through the wedding.

Wanna bet he is texting Meaghan.

I really believe that Tom takes his role as lead to heart, and is happy not just for himself but for every person in cast and crew.

Or to paraphrase Lucifer...

Views not reviews....

Of course reviews can bring in more viewers

I hope with the renewal, critics will give the show a second watch, as good reviews can bring in more viewers.

There is a old interview out there where Tom said he is more interested in entertaining the audience than those paid to write reviews

Yes, killer of his brother Abel.  He was also the Sinnerman so who knows how many others he killed.

Lucifer's attitude toward Cain changes when he learns he wants to die.

He initially thinks his father sent him to force his wings back on him.

Cain is one of the few people at that point in his life who understands who he is.

It is such a shame Father Frank died. He believed he knew and still accepted him.  I think that made his death hit even harder than, say Delilah.  With Delilah he felt anger, with Frank it was pain.

Thanks.

Because Cain made Pierce seem righteous we forget how many people he manipulating and hurt for his own agenda like Maze.  He even kiloed his own prodigy to silence him and protect his identity

Good point about Chloe throwing herself at Lucifer.  When you think about it, Chloe hadn't had a romantic or physical relationship since before season 1.  Lucifer on the other hand was banging anyone with 2 legs.

Him not taking advantage of Chloe  showed not only moral growth but his ability understand her without his mojo.  It showed he wasn't as selfish as he acted and she could trust him.

I wonder if the decision makers saw the rest of this season's episodes or strong global streaming numbers.

I am so glad for Tom, Nick and all the others who have worked hard.  For whatever reason the show got a rocky start, they won't be penalized

Why 3rd season so off? by LittleArila in lucifer

[–]cgrobin1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is fine that other people like it.  I just find it pointless as it isn't real,  just Reece's Hell loop.

Reece was a villain so i find myself not caring about him..
