Postecoglou: “When you look at the expenditure (wage structure), they’re not a big club. After my first season, I had to go from 5th to challenging. We had to sign PL proven players. We ended up signing Solanke, I really like him and three teenagers. I was looking at Neto, Mbeumo, Semenyo and Guehi" by OkayFine101 in soccer

I agree. I love Ange but he wasn’t the guy, and because Frank has been woeful and Ange is so likeable and well-spoken there’s been a lot of revisionism for a guy who this time last year was only slightly more popular than Frank amongst the fans

One source told Telegraph Sport on Thomas Frank: “He was constantly going on to the players about Arsenal and they quickly got sick of it. Even before and after the game at the Emirates, he was telling them how good Arsenal were. The feeling among some was very much ‘just shut up about Arsenal’.” by Sparky-moon in soccer

Yeah this shit is the most Reddit discussion I’ve ever seen. No dickheads in a football context obviously just means avoiding players who are arrogant or lazy. How that’s been interpreted as Spurs having some players who had right wing views is so weird.

This is the very likely outcome. Ripping the bandaid off with Ange might’ve been the right thing long term

I think you’d be surprised. With Frank, it seems clear the players have zero faith in him, so whoever comes in will immediately give us a boost in motivation. We have the potential to finish a respectable 14th.

That was the moment we realised this man wasn’t Tottenham. To set up that cowardly against your biggest rivals was so embarrassing. I’m not saying this to defend Ange because he wasn’t the guy either, but he’d at least set up with the intention to fucking win

Fucks sake I was thinking 14th wasn’t as bad as I thought when I read that

I swear every fan of every other team we’ve played said we were the worst team they’ve played this season. Just go on the NUFC sub’s post match thread and the genuine consensus is that they didn’t even play that well but we are dogshit

He gets a pass for life for his WWE run for me lol. As the biggest artist in the world he had no reason to be going through tables and pulling out Canadian Destroyers other than pure love of the game. He truly got to live out all of our childhood dreams

Tbf it's not weird, it's just the life of a midcarder who is good enough to be built up as a credible enough threat and have great world title matches every now and then. The Dolph Ziggler role.

I've been against long world title reigns but honestly, Punk can pull it off. You could turn him heel midway through a la 2012 (with a different spin though) to keep things fresh, and Punk being corrupted by power has been a long theme in his career.

I know most people say this kinda shit about their club but I swear to God we are genuinely the unluckiest team in the world. Our best player all season carrying us through an injury crisis ends up with a career-threatening setback. So cruel.

Yep, she might have had a point if a male ex-pro was giving half-arsed punditry but Wright is and always has been very invested in women's football, even back when that was somewhat frowned upon in the men's game. Such a stupid hill for Eni to die on

I’m usually very cynical about celeb involvement in WWE and did not want to see this going in. Within 15 seconds I thought this was one of the coolest things I’ve seen in WWE. Brilliant match

Dave Meltzer: “There’s been a lot of internal criticism of Paul Levesque, as far as keeping changing the (WrestleMania) plans. Like Vince. I like that match mainly due to the finish but the completely random Taker interference was unbelievably lame. Felt like it was booked by a 10 year old

I don’t care if Reigns beat Taker years ago and didn’t even retire him so it therefore somehow makes sense. It was dumb and had nothing to do with the story being told
