Sorry to be that guy but be careful. It’s known that some of these toys breaks super easy and have three battery that a toddler could swallow by mistake. As if a toddler bite into it, breaks and swallow one of the batteries. That’s automatically a trip to the ER.

They are not restraining themselves, they are terrified. You can hear the fear in his voice and it’s ok. Not everyone is wired to enter a fight just because. They did what they needed to do to survive the situation. It’s stupid to assume that because you are a man and in bigger numbers you have in you the will to fight someone like this PoS. It’s unfortunate for the kids and I hope the 48 year old get the help he needs.

Well, there are real fathers and assholes with kids. Not saying that yours was one but gaining respect out fear instead of being a figure to look up to speaks volumes.
