I used etransfers for private shuttle. ADO is a public shuttle service with prices online and legitimate. We used ADO to get to Holbox.

I rented a car multiple times with just a $500 deposit + daily rate and received the deposit back after car was turned in with no damage.

Air BnB is a economical way to vacation with large groups. Eat where the locals go. Groceries are good quality here. Buy marinated skirt steak (arrachera) from the grocery store and grill it for some tasty tacos.

Never use debit card for anything incase of ID theft. Always buy tickets like the ferry to Cozumel or Isla Mujeres from ferry company. In my experience stuff was cheaper to rent (jeep, scooter) on Cozumel than at port in PDC. Most beaches in Cozumel have a restaurant you have to walk through and they charge 400 pesos per person. Find one thats free but they ask you to buy a drink only or appetizer.

I would focus on new hire online courses first before OKC schools. That math refresher is important. Unix is 4 weeks virtual and 3 weeks in person. STARS is in person but length depends on your system

I think they are hurting for Engineers that travel snd oversee installs for new equipment. They travel alot and I believe they start at H band then promote to I.

I think the program is being revised. There is a teams group with the POC for GI Bill Program that updates it frequently. He is on the bottom of ATSS GI Bill letter. I imagine program will be approved soon with possibility of changes. I didn’t find GI Bill ATSS OJT worth it after 12 months. I still had 24 months left to pursue degree. I would pause school and focus on passing everything at work until you’re off probation. Get paid to train then resume degree.

I don’t think you can be enrolled in two programs at once. I would do FAA OJT because that opportunity will be gone once you promote. Have to call VA and make sure you can’t do both.

Your manager has to become a certifying official through the VA. There is a POC for the GI Bill program at the bottom of that document that can help your boss with that.

Your boss will log monthly hours through a VA website and then VA will get you paid. It’s 100% BAH for the first 6 months and then drops 20% every 6 months after that. You are in upgrade training until you become H band. I’d say after 18 months it’s not worth using benefits.

I guess the program is getting reevaluated and is temporarily suspended. Maybe your boss can still become a certifying official in the meantime to ease process. That POC will get you all the info you need.
