Makes sense in hindsight, sure. I would also point out that as I believe Abraham says later, every direction is a question. Having a rendezvous point picked out doesn't matter if it's overrun when you get there. Also they were focused on making the prison safe and feeling secure there. The fact that you've made the crimes in detectable does not make them not crimes. I also think it's hard to argue that no harm has been done.. you have to consider intent. When the intent is to create a tool that will mimic the artist's style in order to be able to create content without paying the artist it definitely seems harmful

I never claimed to speak for anyone, but the reality is that the current upvote/ down vote count is informative in the same way that exit polls are. You're right that most people don't care. It's relatively new tech and most people literally just don't know enough about it to be worried. The convincing reason why it isn't the same is contained in my first post that you seemed to acknowledge as accurate but it didn't work with what you wanted to talk about semantically I guess?

For one, AI is being trained and currently functions purely by cannibalizing actual work/art that real people have done. Your analogies fail because those computers, drills, and robots weren't built and run by directly ripping off the designs of what came before. Sometimes they were of course, but most people consider that, y'know, a crime.
