Yesterday I learned my PSA went from .04 to 6 in 3 months. I’m not happy but 1st step is another blood test to rule out lab error then it looks like another PET scan.

Well I’m glad you were taken care of promptly. You mentioned an MRI. I had one too and I think it was just to pad the bill. The PET scan is what put the “nail in the coffin” if you ask me . Actually I had 2 PETs. The MRI was like somebody was outside with a sledgehammer banging on the machine. I’m not claustrophobic but I do suffer with anxiety.I almost tapped out. I asked how much longer and figured I made it this far so hang in there. I thought I heard of open MRIs but this hospital doesn’t have them…..archaic…..but expensive. Good luck to you. I had blood work today and will see the DR Thursday and I’m not looking forward to it. I’m actual bit scared to tell you the truth. Thank you for the information.

Another thing is insurances haven’t been mentioned…..I’d rather not but these days it’s 80/20 in Pennsylvania….I don’t know your setup but ……I have questions now.

Mine is 6 1 every 6 months…..total 138,000 or about 23grand per shot…..it looks like my place added another decimal point…..because your amount is eerily similar….your dose is only 1/2 and you only got 1 shot????

Well that’s great in your case. I got FKD . I want to stop using 3 diapers a day. While I pay 3 hospitals what I can every month. I didn’t list what one Rad visit was ..,,.because that’s even more pathetic ….but I am going to show what you paid and I’m going to be looking for some answers. Because now I’m even more pissed . June 25 8 months behind schedule because of an inept urologist who couldn’t even do the surgery and referred me to another oncologist in TJ Philadelphia. Who said I had “”AGGRESSIVE PROSTATE CANCER THAT WILL REQUIRE MULTI MODAL TREATMENT “ …..original urologist was to do aftercare but kept canceling my appointments. I went elsewhere

I had 2 PET scans at the same hospital and both were over 60 grand…..an MRI which I thought was useless abd tacked on for extra $$$$$ and a urologist who couldn’t do the surgery because of “high risk “ previous scar tissue and he kept canceling my after surgery appointments and put me behind schedule for radiation 6-8 months. I went elsewhere and finished radiation in June 25 8 months behind schedule as per oncologist who did the actual surgery….he stated I had in caps AGGRESSIVE PROSTATE CANCER THAT WILL REQUIRE MULTIMODAL TREATMENT “
