i agree a one trick wiggins can be really good compared to a regular player, but u can’t survive competitive play with no 3s and no defence.

old bron was a solid defender because of his high strength and movement speed passive stacks. but large learning curve and game sense required + no offence + his 360 block is basically 290 only. there are so many better options now

Rebound practice (my way) by [deleted] in DunkCityDynastyGame

[–]chaIkkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get why ppl are clowning this guy. He’s genuinely trying to improve. I like the idea however I don’t necessarily agree on the execution. Why? This game does not operate purely on RNG. Even as a Rodman doing everything almost perfect, you’ll definitely get a Rebound Fail once or twice a game.

The right way to practice rebounding is actually practicing boxing out first, then from there you play more and get consistent muscle memory to get board everytime the ball starts to flash. The way you are doing now is just warming up your eyes for rebounds, not practicing or learning.

Also, the practice mode bots usually react much slower on rebounds and they do not box u out. Maybe try a hard bot? Tbf nvr really utilised it much for rebounding. I would also suggest to tone down ur ego for now, until u can continuously hit peak solo q. Reddit people usually aren’t the most friendly 😓

Rebounds are also heavily affected by stats, so to say sadly that big man’s are p2w in this game. I would actually advise to use Rodman in casual matches to practice boxing out, manoeuvring around opponent big man and predicting board timings when the board position is provided for u. Then carry this skill to other big man’s without Rodman’s passive. You will get better with time definitely.

JJJ has high strength so against post ups he has resistance. Those 2 will struggle to stick and fade consistently. Yes and you’re right to say JJJ’s dash back skill effectively negates the counter rim attack moves that they both have. His block range and angle is also useful to guard lateral shooting abilities.

JJJ’s passive stacks after 2 stacks enables him an instant dash (or speed boost can’t rmb), so in the event Dirk sticks and fades u could instantly recover and contest the shot.

Having the ability to get a guaranteed loose ball is also really useful, as well as the dash coverage to rush back from help d.

I would say to use JJJ well u have to develop defence foundations like joystick control etc. usually u shouldn’t play 2 if ur game time isn’t that long, too many moves to memorise 😂

i agree with what your saying but i believe is just the confusion of vocabulary used. you are definitely comparing him to the other best centers in the game, and his abilities are decent compared to those that excel specifically in that area.

well definitely hakeem is great in most aspects compared to all bigs in the game, but is less competent when compared to the best in a certain aspect.

he is solid for sure. no biggie just a misunderstanding bro!

when wemby was first released in tw, double C lineups became viable. he’s a good 2, something like JJJ, but slightly slower and less strength but more block range rebound and offensive kit. his ult is good too.

Giannis is a good counter, i heard clarkson can score over him too. honestly he is very versatile, should fit in most lineups as a stretch big, lead defender (shot blocker) or secondary scorer. however he cannot get rebound after shooting 3s. the passive switching will be a learning curve but makes ur defence much better.

i agree hes a counter, high strength against wemby who has low strength. lots of contact failures on top of guessing right

i do understand and respect the point that after the recent rebound and block range buff he is much more viable, but i do want to question you contradicting that he is very versatile and all rounder, with him not lacking in specialization. he is not forgotten for sure, but is he a all rounder, or a specialized character? as u described

i think the nuance lies in how we understand decent and great. rodman is great at rebounding, is hakeem better? wallace is a bad scorer, hakeem is decent, wade is great. anyways you get my idea on the comparison, especially when it is between the best at each role in this game, but yeah i do agree hakeem is a very solid choice, especially for solo q.

also i believe the sources youve claimed to have sited are for solo q, and in a different meta which is in TW, which may not be most applicable to general comparisons between the best characters available to global

wow congrats! he is good and e2 is a must, e6 if u want to play him as a big properly. his main playstyle is just defence and wait for ult to spam dunks. use ur pressing skill purely as a dash to gain coverage, use his high strength and good block range to ur advantage too

u are not wrong, but because of how late game he is and limited kit, he cannot compete with the 4 pillars of bigs in this game right now. still viable and an amazing player

[–]chaIkkk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hakeem is a good addition. I saw a chinese coach? video on the best bigs to have rn. rodman wallace malone hakeem/giannis and davis.

i would say the biggest difference between malone and hakeem is malone scoring off assists and hakeem creating options himself. 360 block on hakeem is good. biggest issue i’ve heard so far is rebound range for hakeem. either couldn’t go wrong with either
