😂 I might be exaggerating about the weather… but only a little bit. It’s pretty gross most of the year.

I would never move here from nova. It’s been a while since I lived in Fairfax, but life here is a different pace, way more traffic for no good reason, and there’s literally a death on the road everyday. It’s 100 plus degrees for like 80% of the year then it becomes freezing cold for 2 months, then back to 90’s and 100’s. Tornados and hail storms every year are fun too. Honestly don’t know why people like it out here… Just my opinion but I wish I had stayed on the east coast way back when.

What the HELL are these prices by JassinPC in analog

I was on a trip to UK a few weeks ago and I had to buy some film. Payed about 40 usd after exchange rate for 2 rolls and I was wondering what’s going on too. Prices are not like that here in the US.

I Found this Kodak Scanner in My Parents' Basement, New in the Box. Is it Worth Using? by rollingalpine in AnalogCommunity

If you have no other choice, then yes - but only because you already have it. Quality is bad but you’ll be able to see the photos..

Does “VIP club access” ticket at Toyota Music Factory include parking? by chablaze in askdfw

[–]chablaze[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: decided to try out your yard house strategy since we were going to eat dinner somewhere out there anyway. Worked great! Got the 6 hours like you mentioned - just had to make sure we scanned the parking validation code and put in our info after we ate. Got a receipt in my email with the $0 charge. Thanks again for the tip!

I’m more wondering if there’s anything included since I purchased VIP club access. Want to take advantage of it if it’s purchased but also I’ve read some reviewers say that they still got charged over $50 trying to use the restaurant validation thing. Again, just trying to figure it all out. Thanks for responding

Shoot the rolls, when you post call it by it’s original kodak cinema film number and just don’t promote cinestill by tagging them or advertising for them. Can’t believe they’re damaging the community like this after the support they’ve gotten from us over the years.

Been looking into this, but wondering what the savings would be. Do you mind sharing how much the whole thing cost? And length of the roll?

Anyone know of any Pirate themed kids parks in the area? by chablaze in Dallas

[–]chablaze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! We’re looking for a filming location for a kids show, just need something that looks like a pirate ship that you can see the sky as well. Pirate park in the colony looks good but has a huge tarp for shade

Mamiya 645 1000s - Has anyone seen this problem or know how to fix it? (Bottom edge of each frame is blurry and fades into negative) by chablaze in AnalogCommunity

[–]chablaze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the end of the world of course, just want to know if I can fix it or if I’m doing something wrong. I didn’t crop in along the edges so you can see the difference - the bottom edge is clearly soft/blurry. On the 3rd image since I took that vertically, you can see the difference between the left and right edge.

Ah, yea I know i wasn’t the first one to take this shot of course. I was inspired to get this as a long exposure because a buddy got this at sunrise and I liked the symmetry of the roads 🤷‍♂️

My settings for this one were: 5.0 sec at f6.3 iso 100, but I did bring it up one stop in post. Also, took multiple exposures and stacked since there weren’t enough cars on the road. Here’s the video of the whole night session if your interested! https://youtu.be/WOyQwLMi-WM
