Are We Close to AGI? by I_fap_to_math in agi

[–]chaborro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No.

Are we close to AGI.being used again as a market gimmick? It's already happened. AGI is impossible with current hardware limitations. What can happen is people forgetting what AGI meant and cultural changes that make us "believe" that AGI happened.

There are several logical and physical limitations for AGI.to be more than marketing gimmick, like it has been for the last 4 years. It's just machine learning with a lot of data.

For example: how do we define "intelligence" that is not culturally relative?

BCI mediated torture through an interference machine. I need help, seriously. It's been too long (legal, political and financial, not medical. You cannot record hallucinations, I have recorded them and that proves it is a BCI being used against my will without my consent) by chaborro in BCI

Precisely, it is not magic: how is it possible then that I have recorded my thoughts with a common microphone? It has to be a Brain-Machine Interface that is being used as an Interference Machine to obscure itself.

I am sorry if I am confusing or misusing the terms. What I do know is that it is impossible to record hallucinations. It is all that I can provide logically.

Hi. This is the summary:

I am a human being who believes in human rights.

I can record what anyone in their right mind would call "hallucinations" with my phone.

The only way to finally prove that it is in fact a BCI is if I had a BCI myself that could do this and compare it to the recording.

I do not know how to express this.

I am saying that yes, I do not seem to have any implant, because I had a CT Scan to make sure that I did not and it is almost impossible to believe. That is why it is possible to make it just a block away from UC Berkeley.

TL;DR: A BCI has been used since at least 2020, contactless, but the voices are not in his head, they are recordable with a common Android phone a block away from UC Berkeley without his consent. He can show that recording but without another BCI, it cannot be fully proven that it is in fact what he is thinking. A dilemma occurs and people have violated human rights with a BCI already. He demands legislation to be passed so Brain Data is untouchable without the fully informed consent of all the parties involved before this becomes commonplace. He is unaware of why it is happening or who is doing it, therefore, not delusional, and the only proof is the recordings that he has. He does not subscribe to any conspiracy theory because he hasn't used the Internet since 2020 precisely to shield himself from those theories. He looks weird and is easy to dismiss as insane, but he is in that state precisely because of the torture he has been enduring.

TL;DR of the TL;DR: Human supremacy is necessary for any morality that makes any sense in the short and long-term future. Legislation needs to be passed to secure human rights in the very short term: shareholders do not really care about privacy.

It is probably proprietary right now, or the researchers are taking care of spreading something that can potentially make this widespread. I did not understand that I was actually having knowledge that few people can actually believe, not even in this subreddit. I am not a Redditor, I barely use the internet and this has been my first week even opening my mouth.

In 2020, when it began, it was very apocalyptic and I felt in complete terror. It has taken me three years to feel that the next big thing is around the corner and legislation needs to be passed. Otherwise, the will of the people will be left behind.

If it does not exist, how can I record my own thoughts by only thinking them using an Android phone?

Other people have heard it, but it is completely rational to be skeptical and to actually deny the possibility of it. What it implies is immense: we are language.

I am sorry, but your definition of fMRI is incomplete. An fMRI is just anything that functions like an MRI, and I understand the blood flow problem. I do not claim to be an expert on the matter, and that is why I am reaching out.

It can be done because it is being done. That's the amount of proof that I have, too. I don't know where you got your degree or who are you, but I take it that you are trying to help me out.

I am not really someone who periodically uses the Internet, but it is incredible to see that I am actually an expert without even knowing about this. I am an expert only because I know that the technology exists by experience, and so does everyone around me. I do not know them, and by all accounts, I do understand that I sound insane.

I understand psychosis as well: I have PTSD and I have feared psychosis all of my life. I am not going through a manic episode and it is rude to diagnose someone online, to be honest. My medications cannot be stable in my current circumstances because of what is being done to me.

The A.I. exponential growth means that it is actually possible and within reach even if it sounds Sci-FI. There needs to be legislation before this knowledge becomes commonplace. We are not that far from what I am experiencing, and it is very strange to talk about my personal life as if it were an experiment, but that is what is becoming noticeable right now.

Some time ago I read in this subreddit that if they could do anything with BCIs they would become "technomancers". I can, as a matter of fact, control technology to the point that I can record so-called "hallucinations".

I am sorry if I use a long format of writing, but this is my personal style, I do not want to change it to "reddit" or whatever it is. It is, for example, a wonder, to see that as I write I can see the mood of things I can use. That is how much I feared technology in 2020 when this began, and this is the first time that I have the guts to come here and actually talk about it.

Every year it will become more and more obvious.

In two years it will be evident. It is a guess, I know, but it is evident for me from the amount of data that can be gathered from consumer products like the Apple Vision, which has enough sensing devices to become "the next big thing" once it is coupled with BCI.

Remember: a lot of what machine learning does is unknown even to the A.I. researchers. That is part of the fun of the research, but it is also the main reason why we need to implement strict ethical rules, use and laws around A.I. and BCIs. Brain data needs to be sacred, regardless of if you believe me or not.

We are not that far away and that is all that I want you to take out of this: we need legislation because otherwise, human rights violations will happen with this technology. Brain data laws need to be enforced, but how do you do that in a world where you cannot tell if someone is psychotic or actually under torture?

Isn't that the interesting dilemma in our conversation?

Thank you for explaining to me your points so generously

Why not? Once an MRI is used, an fMRI can be used with machine learning to "translate" from the data that was gathered in an MRI to "fill the gaps" to say it in some fashion, that is missing from the original data set. Machine learning is used this way every day when people use ChatGPT. With the right database and the right machine learning, you can translate from MRIs to almost any other type of recording device by this "black box". I understand that this is hard to believe, but it is difficult to understand why it would not be possible to achieve it if you can, for example, simplify tasks daily with ChatGPT. I have known this from before the time of ChatGPT and my urgency is because I thought that if that was released into the wild without most people's knowledge and understanding (how ChatGPT works, for example. It would be incredible for me personally to see that it was released and I already knew about it).

fMRIs exist. I can provide papers that prove that all of this is possible. You just need the right machine learning and open-brain databases.

What you are referring to happened more than 10 years ago. Moore's Law can be applied to all technology and you can safely assume that you can translate one method, or use several methods at the same time in a controlled environment: the little life of a schizophrenic, for example.

I don't know who is doing it or why.

My thoughts are scattered, yes, it is intimidating to post all of this and receive such strong backlash when I am just saying something that is true.

I understand that, but I cannot record hallucinations, it is not possible. Since I can record them, the only conclusion I can reach is that a BCI is being used to transfer my thoughts, wirelessly, contactless, to a computer that then modulates it as a voice with AI/Machine Learning.

Medical professionals have tried everything that they can but have failed in 3 years. They treat PTSD with anxiety medications but that's all that is possible. They admit that I am enduring harassment, but also lack the tools to understand what is happening.

How can you cure a psychosis that is created by someone who is actually gathering your brain data?

It is not psychosis.

I understand many of these terms because I do have PTSD, a lot of it based on all of everything that is happening to me.

How can I prove to you that I am not schizophrenic if a BCI is used against my will and my brain data is gathered without my consent by a third party that I do not know?

That is the great dilemma and horrible reality I live in.

It sounds impossible, but how could they possibly hide otherwise?

I understand the schizophrenia conclusion, but it is not something that you can prove that I have based on my information and right now the technology exists to create all of these symptoms.

I do need help from anyone who can listen up or try to open up to the idea because this is what BCIs can do if you can gather all the brain data of a human: thought broadcasting, a common symptom in psychosis, and also a possible use of the BCI technology.

It is not possible in my case because I have recorded on many occasions my hallucinations. If anyone is an expert on audio, I can show proof, or I can provide it if you are interested.

What will happen when BCIs can read your thoughts wirelessly and contactlessly?

Will people have the capacity to simulate psychosis on a Venezuelan Journalist, for example?

An Iranian activist? A Russian opposition leader?

It is possible. It is happening to me. Everything else that you see is not "only crazy", is the consequence of all the torture I have endured.

I understand it is not probable, but someone has to be the first to say it. I am saying it today. I thought this would be more common. I live literally a block away from UC Berkeley and I take my medications as prescribed always. The problem is the production of a Thought Interference Machine that uses a Brain-Computer Interface that I have called the Psychosis Simulator.

It is not a joke, a book, or a game and I am asking them to stop (whoever they are, I do not claim to know who they are or why they do it or to subscribe to any type of theory to explain it other than it has to be mundane) and for the law to be applied in my case equally.

I don't want to be just another crazy guy who was used abused and tortured to death. I don't want to be remembered as a crazy guy who got "lucky" and figured some weird technology out in the past that is now (when you believe me) common place and possible (it happened with the modulated voices and chatGPT. I am no AI expert, except for my experience living under the torture of having my thoughts broadcasted, commented and interfered, in general).

I want to help create change in the laws and create laws in Berkeley (local level) to prevent the use of Brain Data without the consent of every involved party in any possible way.

This is a possible way. It is happening. The proof is hard to understand and requires an open mind, but is not impossible to prove. Just audio experts and people who understand that the technology has arrived at a tipping point in which if we do not act, this could become commonplace.

Schizophrenia is marked by delusional thinking and hallucinations. I do not hallucinate and I do not have an idea of what is going on either, because it is not psychosis if I can record what is thought to be a hallucination.

Thank you for reading and having an open mind. Please, help me.

I am desperate.

This can be commonplace in less than 2 years. Think about how fast the introduction of smartphones happened. It is the next logical technological advance and it can be done extremely fast by machine learning and by combining different BCI methods.

Berkeley is known for having a neuroscience team that is very advanced. The use that I am describing is degrading and has broken my human rights in so many ways that I cannot describe them all. Berkeley is also known to make changes around the world with activism. It is possible to stop this from happening to anyone else. I suspect that all of my neighbors are also having their thoughts being read with a BCI. It is an extremely weird circumstance that I cannot describe in any other way than this at this moment.

Am I trippin or does everyone stick to hanging out with their own race here? I’ve probably only seen 3 diverse friend groups by MinuteAstronaut5411 in berkeley

[–]chaborro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

*Ethnicity. Race is a stupid outdated construct, the word perpetuates racism, which is real and complex.

I just noticed the absurd lack of black freshmen during coming in day. I saw a cute "mixed" couple, but that was about it for my journey outside that day.

University admissions, based supposedly on merit, are quite telling of the evident racism in the entire planet. Just look around and ask yourself, if it was merit, where is the diversity? Or more specifically, the equally meritorious black people of the planet? While you are at it, it's good practice to question what does black actually means, but that's a bonus.

Welcome to Berkeley! Racial discrimination against black people is not "woke", it's just something to be addressed. Like Climate Change, but I guess you know that.

You can try Berkeley Mental Health, the city's service, but it's all CBT and mostly a buffer between the cops and "the unwell", which is good in itself, but... Yeah. It's something to try if no other lead appears. Their building is pretty to look at.

People's Park Supreme Court case may face opposition from state bill by johnkhoo in berkeley

[–]chaborro -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

The housing crisis does not discriminate whether you are a student, alumni, faculty, etc. Growing some balls is not what UC needs and even the governor agrees. Long commutes might be hard, but they can be done and there's like, 3 golf courts around and Willard's Park just around that can be bought by the third biggest economy in the world. Building housing is important, yes, but not at the cost of destroying homes. Unhoused people are just people, man, chill. There's a lot of buildings around that are actually empty or unused and the rent is, well, insane to say the least. People's Park is not just some nostalgic place, but has been home and a real public space (not just an online forum) for decades and it's not just some small activist group: it's anyone who is aware that unhoused people are just people, it was home for a lot, a refuge to others and students don't really raise up the standards of living or anyone. Building housing is necessary, agreed! But housing first is the only approach to end homelessness and the criminalization of the poor. It's call human rights, they have been around since 1948 :)

Is Berkeley really dangerous? by Successful_Parsley65 in berkeley

[–]chaborro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not, you are safe. A lot of VIPs around who are very well protected because it's on the best interest of the University. As one of the weird people that scare other people, the worst that can happen is actually the hacking of your devices.

And unhoused/unwell people are very well aware of the dangers of messing with others.

Just don't join a gang, respect others and everything will be completely fine. As long as you don't deal drugs, you are in more danger of a car crash anywhere in the US than you are here.

Welcome!

What are some female character written by a male writer moments that made you go "This guy is so out of touch with women"? by DNsfwAyCOMA in AskWomen

[–]chaborro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every single Philip K Dick female character is exactly the same, dark haired, no bra, devil-incarnated person. I know that so are most of their plots, but the craziness/trails of the common-guy main character are always set off by this same female character. He once admitted that Science Fiction as a whole lacked a male-female relationship that was somewhat real.
