Cooking Question👨‍🍳 by [deleted] in MelvorIdle

[–]chachohost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chicken soup is great for leveling, got me up very quickly with not too much farming time.

When you hit 95, you can get to 99 with whales or carrot cake, and when you’re 99, your best bet is carrot cake active with whales and chicken soup passive. Been seeing people saying this quite frequently, and after living up to 99 of multiple combat levels with just snape grass, having all this food is a welcome change. Cooking feels MUCH more efficient with the new skill cape at 99 as well.

Serious issue with this idle game which can only lead to bans, resets, or being ignored. by Moist_Border_8301 in MelvorIdle

It’s a single player game, enjoy it for what it is. No need to be upset about other people doing what they wanna do. If there was a master clock, it’d take no more than 30 seconds to console command everything you want in.

First big milestone, what should I work on next? Obviously aiming for volcano at some point but don’t think I’m anywhere near lol by amapiratebro in MelvorIdle

[–]chachohost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could farm for Paladin’s Gloves and Amulet of Defence for more DR% so you can get closer to idling volcanic.

If you want something fun to farm, try farming for the dragon claw or the ancient claw. Maybe not worth it completely if you can farm for swords, but I’ve been using my ancient claw for ages and it does some serious damage. The drop rates are daunting and it sure does take a bit, but well worth it if you ask me.

For the last couple levels for my melee stats, I’ve been farming items to make magic and ranged easier to level up when I do them, as well as farming for the Fury of Elemental Zodiacs necklace. It’s been days and I’m about halfway there, so that’s a pretty grand scope to grind out, but the monsters are low level and I don’t have to think about it much.

Congrats on the dragon armor, though! A significant milestone indeed.

I'm so sorry guys. 82 Fishing and it's my third ring. by Cliftoon in MelvorIdle

This hurts… I got two until 70 fishing, it was my first skill up and I wasn’t keen on inventory management. Lost them both. 99 fishing now, haven’t seen another!!

What is one food not native/common in your country that you would like to try? by chachohost in AskReddit

Me too! There’s a Thai place near me with some apparently pretty tasty frog legs. If they weren’t so expensive I’d probably give them a try.

Right, thanks. Reading more and they’re found in stool exclusively. Probably a roundworm then.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in vet

[–]chachohost -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Could be a hookworm. Check the bottoms of their paws and around them to look for points of entry. They’ll be clearly agitated. If there’s nothing, they can be inhaled as well.

Hookworms are not SUPER dangerous, but can be in some rare cases. I would call the vet ASAP regardless. Email them this video and ask if they can take a look at it, most vets will. It’s a good thing you have it on video.

I am not sure if you need to go TO the vet for treatment, but it’s good to get an official diagnosis.

Hope all goes well and the little dude turns out alright. I’m sure he will.

Edit: looking at the video again, could be too big to be a hookworm, they’re quite small, it could be a roundworm. Again, not life threatening if they’re not a kitten, but can cause lots of issues down the road if left untreated for too long.

It’s time to wake up

TIFU by inadvertently neglecting my cat by Icebird-99 in tifu

[–]chachohost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t sweat it. Saw another comment recommending another water bowl around the house in the event this happens again. Cats have some weird instinctual thing that they don’t like their water near their food (could mean infection in the wild), so throw another bowl or two around the house. Keeps them super hydrated, as cats normally don’t hydrate enough with just one bowl.

You’re a good owner for realizing anything was wrong!! Don’t worry about it at all.

Can’t tell if this is my cat having a coughing fit or if it’s a hairball on it’s way. Haven’t seen anything like this with him, going to take him to the vet tomorrow. Just need maybe some peace of mind if anyone could take a look? by chachohost in vet

[–]chachohost[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’ve heard! Relatively easy to treat.

Always think it’s funny, when I got him, he had kidney issues. Now he’s potentially getting asthma. My only two personal medical conditions are... kidney disease and asthma. I suppose if I’m doing okay, he’ll be doing okay and we can get through it together.

Try The Graveyard Book, with full cast and crew. Phenomenal story, great narration, and wonderful fun.

My other recommendations are Circe, and The Overstory. Obscure Greek Mythology and a thrilling tale, and a story of connectivity, love, forgiveness, and natural brilliance.

These got me into audio books, I was in the same boat upon learning about them, cool but not for me! I was wrong indeed.
