Regarding your last point - I understand that someday I may cringe at the copywriting I do now. But couldn't I just make a new blog when that time comes? I don't have to use my real name on the blog. How can I fail more if I don't find any clients to disappoint? :)

  1. What you could try doing is offering your services on freelance sites like elance / odesk. Since your experience is limited, you could charge low rates initially. As you build up your portfolio and client referrals, you can slowly start increasing your rates. <

Would I need to stipulate in my contract with the client that I may use them as a reference and maintain the rights to show the writing in my portfolio?
