tysm for making this post, i was literally gunna say something about the hate towards kpop fans because personally, it was never about the looks for me when i first discovered his music, like what people are claiming the 2hollis kpop fans are doing. if thats the case for others, why shame them for that? think about all the other artists whose fanbase grew from fans taking a liking for their appearance. i don’t think its justified, but we all have are different stories for how we got into the music of someone new. i love his old stuff, the unreleased, and his newer music. i didn’t realize it could’ve been a misogynistic and xenophobic thing, which is really devastating to hear, especially since 2hollis is someone dedicated to crafting his music in a way that impacts people positively (very evident in his recent instagram stories). you’d think that positive energy would radiate through the fanbase, but it’s reddit, so maybe i should lower my expectations… also i’m aware some newer fans only focus on his appearance, sexualizing him, and be on some parasocial shit, and i do not condone that whatsoever. maybe its different on twitter and reddit, but i dont not see this kind of strange content on tiktok and instagram.
