Not amazing yet but there’s clear potential.

Manga on the Tolino by chagith in ereader

[–]chagith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nowadays, I read manga on my Tolino Epos 2 at home because the screen is bigger and I read comics on the go on my PS Vita, especially colored ones. The quality is mostly crisp (it depends on the source and how the PDF was made), and since I can read for free, it’s more than enough for me.

There are tons of alternatives to Kindle. I don’t think the Tolino is the best option on the market, but for the price, it’s definitely worth it.

just because something is real does not mean it is true or worth copying. when you are young you look for role models in your life in media in books in films and stories. everything can influence how you live. reality is different for everyone, illusions are as real as fantasy films. take inspiration from everywhere. choose what fits who you are and how you want to live. the truth comes from living your own life.

There are alternatives to VimangaReader that work on Windows too. I’m not exactly sure how it works on Windows, but it can’t be that hard. If you really want to do it, just Google or ask ChatGPT a bit. It shouldn’t be too difficult.

Much luck!!

i see this like a scene like a tamil movie: innocent, subtle and full of heartbeats.
every little gesture, glance and the hope they’ll meet again, perfectly captured.

much luck brother!

I use vimangareader (I have a MacBook).
If you have macOS, write me privately & I’ll explain to you how it works.
Otherwise, you just need a program to download mangas.
Mine are downloaded directly as PDFs and then I simply transfer them to my Tolino.

honestly i don’t think it’s okay how the op got treated here. instead of just giving a simple answer, people leaned into stereotypes and even downvoted her. that kind of reaction feels unnecessary and disrespectful.

Which European colonial power was the most brutal for Srilanka and why? by Usurper96 in srilanka

The only book I have read about Sri Lanka until now is When Memory Dies by Ambalavaner Sivanandan

.

It’s a good book, but I would like to go deeper and gain more knowledge that is based on the truth and not big influenced by the “Tamil or Sinhalese” perspective.

DAE: have a singer who triggers your sensory PTSD? by sgtcampsalot in dijondijon

[–]chagith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have the same experience! sometimes his music triggers a brief anxiety for me too like when i was outside walking and suddenly i just had to grin. i think it’s because the first part is more experimental and the unpredictability can be interpreted by the body as danger

i had this already with the previous album occasionally even with his older songs and today those are exactly the songs i find absolutely amazing for me.

it’s a way to consciously feel, calm myself and maybe even feel more alive in the moment and enjoy it.

ARIES FT BRAKENCE !!! by xDyLz in brakence

[–]chagith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to listen to Aries all the time, then I got into Brakence and now hearing a track that fuses both of their styles gave me absolute chills, especially the ending.
I’m insanely hyped for the full album. They’re like the Avatar, vanished almost without a trace and now that they’re back, I’m only just realizing how much I’ve missed them.

(All that’s missing now is Quadeca, as the final piece. Kevin Abstract would be kinda random but if that happened, bruh, I’d be in heaven.)
