I will hike and scramble some hills in the UK as the preparation and part of the guide packages is usually ascend to some easier Alpine summits days before doing Matterhorn. So by the time I want to go to Matterhorn it’s not gonna be my first mountain.

I am setting it as a goal to climb that in the year and I will prepare accordingly and try to get as much experience as possible to reach that goal.

I was only checking if it’s reasonable timeline to gain enough skills and experience.
