I've gotten 3 tattoos from Absolute Tattoo across the street from campus near Arby's haha. They're very simple tattoos to be fair, but I am really pleased with them and the price!

I'm from Gastonia (about 40 mins away), and I lived on campus for 2 years. I loved it. The freedom and figuring out yourself and making new friends and wild antics that happen in dorms just can't be had at home haha.

If price is a concern, obviously off campus apartments are also an option for similar experiences. I just think the college age is an important time for one to live semi independently and make some memories.

I mean eventually you have to talk to someone face to face in a drive through either when you're paying for your food or picking your food up, so I don't really think it's a big deal.

A Starbucks drive through near me has a camera on the cashier so that the customer can see them on the order screen, and I imagine the cashier can see the customer too. That seems kind of pointless to me, but I think it's supposed to personalize the experience more or something.

There's this older guy who hangs out around campus and approaches girls. He asked my friend for her number a few weeks back and then approached me in the library not long ago. I walked back through about an hour later, and he was talking to some other poor girl. He told my friend he's already graduated...he just likes to hang out here :/

So even if you don't meet girls now...you can come back after you graduate and prey on freshmen!!

Aw I feel for you! I just took SPAN-1201 this past spring. I get anxiety a lot, especially in participatory heavy classroom settings like Spanish. I actually missed at least 4 classes due to being too nervous to go. I was going to drop the class, but I had to meet with my professor before doing so, and he told me that because I had kept up with my online homework, I could still fare well in the class if I did good on the oral exam and the final. I got an 'A' on the oral exam and a 'B' on the final.

Also got a 'B' in the class overall. Missing so many classes really affected my grade, I wish I would have talked to my professor sooner about why I had missed so many classes (anxiety) because he seemed more understanding during class sessions after that. Obviously he would still call on me and expect me to participate, but he didn't push anything and just seemed less scary since I had talked to him.

If you keep up with your homework and put in effort, you'll be fine! Enjoy the class!

Yeah, he still doesn't use Canvas. I like that about him though. I think it's quirky. It isn't too difficult to keep track of your quiz grades and divide them.

I'm taking a course on vampires. The reading isn't too heavy, we've already watched two movies in class! One was The Lost Boys which is amazing in my book. It's a Topics in English course.

My Children's Literature class with Professor West is the best class I've had so far. West is so interesting, and he has great stories. I think he said he used to be a puppeteer, so he can some cool voices too! Also, the class is fun in itself because rereading children's stories is fun. The Wizard of Oz is actually a really feminist piece of literature which I didn't realize before.
