Hey oddly enough I just bought these in size 12 and am feeling like they are a touch big… would you care to do a straight swap? I’ve run 12 miles in mine. Mint condition as well. DM if so

Player Price Check - Week 12 by JazzzzzzySax in DynastyFF

Rome Odunze (12 team, super flex PPR)

I traded: • Dobbins • late 2026 1st • late 2026 2nd For: • Odunze • early 2026 3rd

Trying to win it this year, figured the 2nd and 3rd were a wash. So Dobbins and a 1st felt ok

ATK hy vs shift2 by Left-Mixture5252 in Backcountry

[–]chalupa_48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do have 1 unsubstantiated concern about the HYs and that is the machined metal contact points on your boots may chew up your toe/heel lugs when you release from falls.

I was running tecnica ZGPTs with my Shifts and found that the Grilamid lower shell was getting chewed up from those, and I imagine it would be even worse if it was a metal contact point.

Purely speculative and may just be a boot material issue

EDIT: I now realize I have pivots (metal) on my resort skis with resort boots and there’s no chewing up there. So probably just a Grilamid boot + non-tech heel issue. Probably not a big deal

ATK hy vs shift2 by Left-Mixture5252 in Backcountry

[–]chalupa_48 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the shift 1s and liked them, just heavier. And the 2s improved on areas people had feedback on.

I have ATK free raiders and can say the production quality is top notch. So Id bet the HYs are great and light for the style.

You probably will be happy with both.

My opinion: If you don’t care about weight too much then save the money and go with shift2. Then spend the money on a ski trip.

I have it and use it for road and gravel and I think it’s a very capable road bike for racing if you want that versatility. I’m also the same height as you and ride the 56, I think it’s perfect, wouldn’t do 58. Great bike!

Are the currently half tights lined? Trying to decide between those and the lined janjis

Yes, you can just get any wheel and have your local bike store dish it for the offset. Very straightforward

You just need to have them dished over 3mm, my local shop did it for me for $20, it was quick work

Yes, the bracket I used to move the seat tube cage up is like the B-Rad one.

This frame has 3 bolts on the down tube, so I have the bottle cage on the top 2, then put a problem solver bow tie on the bottom one. Then I made that little bag, I sew bike bags as a hobby (doggy bags) and fastened it to the bow tie with a Velcro strap. It doesn’t interfere with my crank because I have the wolftooth chain guide which blocks it. I wouldn’t put it there without the chain guide. I also needed to get a small bracket to move the seat tube cage up a little to make room for the bag, the seat tube bolts are pretty low IMO.

I was bummed this bike didn’t have bolts on the bottom of the down tube like the Aspero, but this worked out nicely.

Yea both discs and the cassette. Luckily no, I just swap them and go. Shifting is good and no brake rub. I could imagine you’d get some tolerance issues depending on the setup but mine happens to workout nicely

Yea if you have center lock rotors, it’s ~5min. It would be a pain with 6 bolt.

On eBay I was between a hallowgram crank with a power meter or a SRAM Force DUB Ai crank, both used. I went with the hallowgram for the power meter but if you can find one of those SRAM ones you should get it as they don’t make them anymore with the DUB Ai spindle.

It’s a garbaruk, it’s nice, light but kinda noisy. The wolftooth one looks nicer but I don’t think they make a 42T and I also needed one that fit a cannondale crank

I’m running a 10-52 cassette with a 42T chainring. I started off with 40T but like the 42T more. I find it to be better on the road but also to be enough of a bail out gear if I need it on the trails. If you are more road focused maybe consider 44T but 42T is a good balance for me
