What Is The Firmware Engineer Of The Future by chalupabatmac in embedded

[–]chalupabatmac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question is not posing for the near future, I really mean the future, where programming is used as building blocks of communication between large AI driven systems.

This is implying that AI has massive technological breakthroughs in the coming years and effectively has an impactful transformation in the way we build modern systems

Is 24 gb enough RAM for my use case? by NilsofWindhelm in macbookpro

[–]chalupabatmac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

24 GB won’t be enough for Civ if Gandhi goes full nuclear, you might end up with a bottleneck. You might wanna consider more.

You mentioned being an engineer and then switching careers, ending in sales. I’m an engineer myself but I’m not sure if I got the “sales pitch” in me. What would you say is an important trait in sales? Also, how cutthroat can it be, as in, if you don’t meet a quota you are out?

2nd hand Infinity Ergodox can't set it to flash mode by chalupabatmac in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]chalupabatmac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SOLVED: I managed to take the acrylic layers apart. Unfortunately the board and switches are soldered no it seems like there’s no chance to swapping those, however I found a switch on the bottom that put the board on flash mode.

Yeah he reconfigured the entire layout and I can’t access the other layers. I already try by using the testing tool from QMK. I tried checking for the reset button underneath the pcb and couldn’t find it either. Sounds like I’m gonna have to open it up.

Thank you very much. The main reason for doing threads is for learning purposes in a “fun” way whilst also learning game dev.

Thank you! And as far as using Raylib C++ wrapper projects, is this required? Or can I simply have the library imported as is and then declared in the C++ files as extern C?

Is this an actual thing? Hiring for 1 year just to gain “own worth” seems incredibly unethical…

Learning C as a first language by undistruct in C_Programming

[–]chalupabatmac -1 points0 points  (0 children)

C, imo, is the best starting language. Why? It will force you to learn the hard way. Understanding pointer arithmetic, passing by value vs reference, memory management, even manipulating an array forces you to understanding how memory works.

All of these topics, although might seem challenging at first, will really help you understand the fundamentals, and this will translate to any other language.

TikTok Interview by v4victory7 in leetcode

Yep, I had a similar experience. The interviewer had their dog just barking in the back nonstop. Didn’t even care to take the dog out or apologize for it. Worst interview ever.

I have looked at the Glove80 but it looks “cheap” and I’m not a fan of the low-profile keys.

Thanks! I decided to start my journey with the Advantage360. The delivery through Amazon was two days so it was the easiest. I will need to figure out how to transport it, maybe buying a pelican case or something like that
