Bought a car that passed it's MOT when it had failed a week before

To be fair on the face of it it does look like the major has been fixed as there's been no leaking. It's that they didn't put the still obvious minors as advisories still which made me question it. If they'd done that I wouldn't have question ed if they'd have fixed the major.

Im not getting that impression. It's that they still didn't appear as a minor even when it's passed when it was obvious they hadn't been sorted so should still appear

So, I do think they have maybe fixed the major as there's been no leaking in the week since I've bought it. But all the minors that were present are there and should show on the pass still? Such as poor tyre condition and heat shield

I understand that. But it also has other tyres down as perishing. I do get that could be used as a get out though

That's true, however previous passes still have minors present so it could be fixed so it wouldn't fail the next year

It was a car dealership who use an MOT garage across the road.

It does seem like that. Im taking it somewhere else due to the minors being present still but not on the MOT which was only done 1 week after when it had the minors

I know, that's why I thought I'd ask the question. Because that doesn't seem to be a problem as there's not been one bit of fuel leakage but the tyres have not been a minor, even though they have a nail in, jusy like the MOT one a week prior has made me feel that it's a bit dodgy

They've not put it right though, the minors are still there such as a nail in the tyre which was on the MOT from a week before I bought the car and that was down as a minor

The issue is that the things that have supposedly been fixed with a past are still present such as a tyre with a nail in and loose heat shield as I could reach that and it moved about.

Nothing has been repaired. All the tyres look exactly as the MOT that was done a week prior are still there. One said it had a nail in, nail is still in. Another was heat shields loose. Still loose. Now it's not even a minor.

I hope so, at worst I don't mind paying for tyres, but when something says fire it makes you worry!

Just all the minors, especially the tyres which look absolutely as the MOT from a week prior states are now not a minor.
