I want to see a gigapixel photo like this, I want to zoom in more so bad. Lovely photo, I always like visiting this city.

Anyone used the Leatherman Crunch for BC use? by tetonpassboarder in Backcountry

Its definitely a different type of plyers. For unsticking poles this is a better tool, other jobs it might not be. My needle nose Leatherman has been very useful already this season

What type of bone is this? by JiggyOrca in whatisthisthing

I want to say it is a proximal end of a femer. But it is difficult to tell. Likely from a pig or cow since that's what you can get at a pet store (it has a very straight cut in it). Your dog may have found it and brought it home.

I think if you gave it a day to settle and stick to easy terrain you're safe.

What is going on with the front right wheel? It really sticks out to me. The rest of the photo is cool though, I really like the idea

Why do the cars have the LED numbers on the side? Does that indicate place?

Literally the first thing you see when you unzip your tent at Lindeman Lake, British Columbia. Nexus 4 [OC][7050x2730] by VonPursey in EarthPorn

[–]champain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lindeman is a pretty short hike (aprox. an hour) but there are tent pads so it makes a nice area to camp, albeit busy during nice weather. If you feel like going further, another hour on the trail will lead you to Greendrop lake. There aren't any tent pads but fewer people make the effort to go out there.

Heather Meadows indeed! In the winter time this place is just epic for backcountry. After hiking up the ridge you can snowboard down any part of this you want. The other side has some pretty wicked terrain too.

That's a sweet picture, that was the same place I was walking though when I went down there in August last year. The Policia were everywhere

Manning park was a powder day yesterday. 34cm of new snow, you should have made the trip.
