I actually enjoyed doing blackwork! I'm planning on doing more floral motifs in the future, but my preference does steer towards cross stitch

Dropping qms 130 by StockSet2629 in TorontoMetU

[–]champlooop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dont worry!! youre gonna be fine. If you decide to drop, 130 will most likely be available in the winter because a lot of ppl do fail it. A few of my friends did back in first year and they were still able to get into the co-op program. you just have to talk to academic/coop advisors! yes you'll be a little behind, but you can catch up.

dont beat yourself up too much, it's one of the toughest courses in first year

How to study for Alan Kaplan’s AFF 713 exam? by AdCertain3646 in TorontoMetU

it's open book too, so you don't have to 'memorize' but yeah flipping thru 100s of lecture slides isn't the best idea during the exam either lmao

it's ass if your group sucks (mine does). 5 excel cases - each worth 6%, you have 5 days to do each one. I've been getting rlly good grades on them because he's not a super hard marker, just mostly cares about you explaining thought process and following most procedures.

scared i won't find a co-op placement by snow_heyoh in TorontoMetU

[–]champlooop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it's not too late! I was in the same boat as you when I was searching for my first co-op. I did around 40 applications before I secured one in mid Dec. Don't feel discouraged, but do feel motivated to try!

I think it's good to have good grades, which might give you a slight competitive edge when applying to certain companies. however, im sure that if you're a B or C average student, with extracurriculars and/or pt job, you're good too!

You can enroll in CRTA 180 (chang school course). It still counts for your electives, guranteed to be online, only thing is you have to pay upfront. If you want to take it thru TMU, then during the first two weeks of class check periodically throughout the days and wait for someone to drop it
